Eat one in a EA to get:

  • Lunar Blessing - Skill. The blessing of the New Year is upon you. All of your attributes are boosted by 1 while in this area.
  • Spiritual Possession - Skill. Maddening voices whisper in your ear. The world swirls around you as the voices grow louder. You are drunk and say annoying things.
  • 100 gold
  • Miniature Pig

Out of 6 I got 3 times gold, 1 pig, 1 of each skill (Qanar | talk) 13:01, 16 February 2007 (PST)

Don't you mean Lunar Fortune? Lunar Tokens can only be traded for Lunar Fortunes AFAIK - Indecision 23:36, 16 February 2007 (PST)

I must have opened 100 of those Lunar Fortune thingys, and I didn't get a little piggy :( It's not fair Scourge 02:08, 17 February 2007 (PST)

It's actually completely fair, as on average one drops per 200 fortunes. As you have not yet opened more than 200 you are still far from the point were it would even be considered particularly bad luck.--99.17.10.76 10:05, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

Monster Drops[edit]

Historically, has only Canthan monsters dropped these or any monster in GW? And if they have only been a Canthan monster drop, this year with Lions Arch and Kamadan being decorated would this suggest that monsters in all 3 campaigns would drop them too for this year? And what about EOTN? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 98.179.8.157 (talk).

(Please sign your contribs in the future with four tidles: ~~~~) As far as I remember they've always dropped in all campaigns, just like the Wintersday items or items from any other festival. If i'm wrong, correct me. I've never really paid attention to something like this. Also, as far as EotN goes, I'm fairly certain that Festival items drop there as well, in fact Raptor farming is one method of farming festival items. PariahUser Pariah Pariahmoa.pngtalk 04:41, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
I've been raptor farming for a while now, haven't seen them drop even once. Is it still dropping from raptors/monsters? Taros 21:12, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
I've had half a dozen drop from gargoyles in pre, so they are dropping from monsters. ^^ Lady Chani 21:30, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
I've gotten a few from UW monsters recently. They are dropping. –Jette 21:32, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
I guess I'm just unlucky then, thanks for the confirmation. Taros 00:41, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

These tokens drop in EOTN like every 4 kills... --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 76.121.253.30 (talk).

^No insults please. 137.250.158.230 12:32, 28 January 2013 (UTC)

Acquire 250 Victory Tokens by participating in Dragon Festival events. See Noblewoman Sun Li for your reward.

Farming for Just My Luck[edit]

It seems like SE and I have different experiences when resigning in Kinya Province. I get returned to the outpost (and I checked again after his edits, following step 2 meticulously). Any other opinions/experiences? Steve1 (talk) 08:19, 1 February 2014 (UTC)

You're supposed to be sent back into the outpost, but you will spawn beside the Kinya Province portal in Ran Musu Gardens so you can reenter Kinya Province a lot faster than if you spawned in one of the other spawn locations in Ran Musu Gardens (e.g. when you map travel into Ran Musu Gardens or don't do the resign method properly, you usually spawn next to the Minister Cho's Estate portal). Maybe I wasn't clear in my explanation on Lunar Token nor Resign#Notes:
  1. Map travel to Ran Musu Gardens.
  2. Exit through the Kinya Province portal.
  3. Turn around and go back into Ran Musu Gardens through the Ran Musu Gardens portal.
  4. Exit through the Kinya Province portal again.
  5. Go get the Nong Berries.
  6. Resign (you should spawn near the Kinya Province portal in Ran Musu Gardens instead of near the Minister Cho's Estate portal).
  7. Repeat steps 4 to 6 until you have enough Nong Berries.

Got it. I wasn't paying proper attention when farming then. Sorry and thanks for the clarifications again. Steve1 (talk) 10:04, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
No problem. That resign method can be confusing. --Silver Edge 07:09, 2 February 2014 (UTC)
And now on to another point. ;)
For you Sheldon will spawn even if you have Sarkling Kappa Shells in your inventory? I changed the walk-through since the second time of my farming session he wouldn't spawn. And I hadn't removed the shell from inv. And all I did was: Kill him, grap shell, run to cave, get watter, map travel to outpost, run to Sheldon again - but he wasn't there. So no talking to the Q person inbetween.
OTOH: Last year I did some farming as well. And I assume it worked back then, otherwise I would've changed the walk-thru back then already. Steve1 (talk) 10:15, 2 February 2014 (UTC)
Before talking to Guwon, Sheldon spawns while Shells are in inventory
After acquiring the quest, I'm assuming you went and completed the "Find Guwon the Wise at Kaabo Cemetery" objective before going to acquire the quest items, which would cause Sheldon to not spawn if a Sparkling Kappa Shell is in your inventory. If after acquiring the quest, you don't speak to Guwon and go acquire the quest items first, Sheldon will spawn even if a Sparkling Kappa Shell is in your inventory. --Silver Edge 08:23, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
I tested it and it seems Sheldon will always spawn.
So I have no idea why he wouldn't spawn for you when you had Shells in your inventory. --Silver Edge 10:44, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
Oh, I beleived you, no worries! But thanks for positng the pic anyway. As I said: Since I did the farming last year as well and didn't change the walk-thru, I assume I made a mistake the first time around this year. But I'm certain Sheldon didn't spawn for my second run. He simply wasn't there. Whatever, doesn't matter. Thanks for the tests! Steve1 (talk) 22:39, 3 February 2014 (UTC)

Best way to reach level 5 on a Nightfall character?[edit]

What's the easiest way to get a Nightfall character to level 5? --138.75.212.57 21:44, 4 February 2016 (UTC)

1. Make a pvp character.
2. Talk to High Priest Zhang and claim 50 tournament reward points. Spend 50 Tournament Reward points on 10 Zaishen Keys at Tolkano.
3. Sell 10 Zaishen Keys in Kamadan, Jewel of Istan (American district) for 90,000 gold.
4. Join a guild and go to the guild hall. Buy Scroll of the Lightbringer from the Scroll Trader.
5. Go back to Kamadan and buy an elite tome of your primary profession for 15,000 gold, and 3 Flames of Balthazar for 4,000 gold each.
6. Use the Balthazar flames and the elite tome to purchase an elite skill in the Great temple of Balthazar.
7. Find a Taxi to Consulate Docks.
8. Buy a maxed armor in Consulate Docks and add good, expensive runes to it (total cost >20,000 gold).
9. Go to Plains of Jarin, activate your Lightbringer Scroll, equip your elite skill, and kill stuff. Bring no heroes because they will steal your experience. --185.57.6.12 08:14, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
Or, you know, just play the game, do missions etc, you'll be level 5 in half an hour or so. Faster than finding a taxi. Using any kind of scrolls helps. Jeree95 (talk) 10:08, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
