Clipping

Does the Mesmer female armor still have clipping coming from the buttocks? I know it's probably not called clipping, I just don't know the english word for it. Little threads were sticking out of the back. Before I will save more for this, I'd like to get confirmation if this has been fixed. BlazeRick 16:46, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

i got the skirt the 19 september 2007, and its still got the bug, Its when you're far from your character that you see it..when youre near, there is no problem, just boring that the people a little too far from you see the bug.I heard that the monument skirt has the same bug as well. 216.113.87.220 16:24, 21 September 2007 (UTC)emmyn

I figured out what's causing the problem. Guild Wars revert everything to lower polygon that is a certain distance (zoomed all the way out) from the camera. This "low polygon" setting causes things to punctuate out. I don't know if there is a way to force the GW program to keep everything at high polygon. I'm unsure of whether this armor still has clipping errors, but I may be getting it sometime soon, so, if it does, I'll give a picture of the clipping error. If it's the same clipping as the monument skirt, where it has a "rip" in the back, I wouldn't be surprised since the monument skirt is a reskin of Obsidian's. az :D 05:32, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

its still there, no update notes on it either so im not surprised, not that its impossible for them to forget posting such a note. Of all the armor clip bugs this one and several other mesmer ones have been around since the start of GW...please fix at least the "uber" set--Justice 16:31, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

Worth mentioning that the clip problem also happens up close with the standing stationary mesmer, on the back at about the right kidney, you get a narrow black triangle peeking out. When kiting left, a matching triangle appears on the left side. 71.208.185.163 05:05, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Light color dyes will also show areas on the ribs about where your talking about that are white or grey that look like tears on the armor, there is also one on the back above where the waist meets the hips going horizontal. I wanted to add that both the top and the boots have clipping issues too, if you wear the top with certain dark pants (EG luxon elite) and go fight, there are several "tears" or pieces missing from the middle of the back when you stretch during the casting animation. Some bottoms, such as the vabbi one, don't seem to have this problem as much, just a tiny cut near the top of the right hip, but they cause the "ribs" or pockets in front, mentioned above, that won't dye with lighter armor colors.Moonstruck Muse 23:33, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

The male version clips as well. When you zoom out with the chest piece on, your characters neck goes through the armor on the front side. Wohlerttalk.to.meh' 14:01, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

Looks bad

At the price I paid for this armor, the male version looks pretty horrible. No dye goes nicely with it since the attire itself remains unchanged, there's no cool headgear and it just looks so...plain! 173.168.225.190 01:19, 23 August 2011 (UTC)

Dye Chart

Like most Elite Female Mesmer Armor, Enko did make a dye chart, including 2-dye colors for this armor. Would it be pertinent to add a link in the "See Also" section?
