The inventory icon is intent for a template box for the different miniatures, or maybe something like the armor galleries on gwg... Just in case we actually want something like that. ~ dragon legacy 06:03, 18 February 2007 (PST)
- Those images look like the real ones, maybe we should get SS of them standing next to a character like these ~ Kurd14:33, 22 February 2007 (EST)
- I think this page would be easier to navigate if the icons of the minitures was shown next to the name. Often I find myself looking for a miniture but I don't know what its called. LeFick 19:06, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
Miniature Zippy...?
Who or what is a miniature "Zippy"? And why have I not heard of this thing?! >.< --Blobulator 01:30, 16 March 2007 (EDT)
- Greased Lightning got renamed by his owner -FireFox File:Firefoxav.png 01:44, 16 March 2007 (EDT)

Individual Pages?
Do we want individual pages for each miniature, ala Miniature Pig or are we just leaving the links to the real life creatures? I'm inclined to create individual pages for each miniature. --Indecision 03:15, 16 March 2007 (EDT)
- There seems to be a real lot of them. Maybe we can turn this page into something like the quick reference pages. ~ dragon legacy 07:18, 16 March 2007 (EDT)
- Someone beat me to it...I was just about to propose that each Pet has its own individual page. This would keep this page a lot clearer and more concise. As well as allowing for more information on each individual pet within their respective pages and talk pages. Lets not repeat the mess that is on the GuildWiki. --ChronicinabilitY 21:18, 29 March 2007 (EDT)
- I believe we should have separate pages for the sake of completion. Also this page should not just be a gallery of random pictures, it is starting to turn into a real mess. --Lemming64 22:07, 29 March 2007 (EDT)
- There should be no reason to have more than one picture on the page if there is going to be seperate pages for each minature. Maybe just one picture of any miniature standing next to to a character so people get the perspective. Thoughts? --- Ibiris 06:18, 31 March 2007 (EDT)
- I object having every miniature taken with a scaling dummy next to it. I would agree having one to get the idea of the scale and then have simply the miniatures for the actual articles. It's true, many look just like their "real" equivalents, but a lot have distinct features that differ. Take the miniature pig for example. It's definatly different from every other hog in game. ~ dragon legacy 00:05, 1 April 2007 (EDT)

If there are no objections I will shortly undertake a mission to create a separate article for each miniature. --Lemming64 07:30, 2 April 2007 (EDT)

- Thanks dragon :) I don't think the issue on Gwiki was one of space. But it seems to make sense as there are so many miniatures now with different stories, having them all on separate pages seems like a good idea. Plus there may be more still for the 2nd year anniversary. --Lemming64 12:51, 3 April 2007 (EDT)

Next Birthday
Will we make a second chart for the 2nd birthday presents.I bring this up because next birthdays are coming on the 28th --EdgeBomber File:Eoewarrior.JPG
- I'd say, we wait and see what happens and decide afterwards what to do about it. ~ dragon legacy 13:44, 13 April 2007 (EDT)
- As it stands Gaile herself has been careful not to confirm that the presents will be more miniatures, so let's wait and see :) --Lemming64 14:25, 13 April 2007 (EDT)
- I agree with holding off with the edit as well. If I remember correctly, Gaile mentioned, on the day miniatures were first introduced, that it was yet to be decided what the two-year-olds would recieve. This, in turn, hints at the idea that minatures were not their first choice. -- Curin Derwin 03:21, 15 April 2007 (EDT)
- I have heard rumors, please note I say rumors, of miniature Margonites.Morimoto 13:22, 23 April 2007 (EDT)
- It's official, folks. A second season of minipets is on the horizon. I've updated the article to add a second table where the second batch of minis will go (the link I've provided a few moments ago states characters turning 1 after the new season is released will still get a season 1 mini, and characters turning 2 will receive a season 2 mini). We may come up with a cool way to make one table out of both seasons so that both the rarity and season is listed, but for now two tables will do. File:Esig2.jpg Eldin 21:50, 25 April 2007 (EDT)
- I think two tables is fine, also on my userspace I have a formatting template for use for articles for the new pets if anyone gets there before me. User:Lemming64/MiniFormatting --Lemming64 04:57, 26 April 2007 (EDT)

Birthday
My rit just turned 1 year and got a mini siege turtle, so I guess we can safely say that it's not depending on time in game, but the actual age of the charater. Thus we can maybe remove the note in the second birthday section? - Anja (talk) 07:18, 27 April 2007 (EDT)

regarding the birthday date
the game was officially released on the 28th, however some people had early access if you had a pre-order key hence some presents are available today on the 27th --Lemming64 12:23, 27 April 2007 (EDT)

Extra Promo Minis?
Someone added three extra promo minis to the page (Nika, Zhed, and Shiro'ken). Where are these obtained? I've heard nothing about them, nor can I find information anywhere... ~ Kailianna Firesoul 17:13, 30 April 2007 (EDT)
- They appear to be Japanese/Asia releases only. Links: GWOnline.net thread, Guild Wars Japan news item. Guess we'll have to wait for them to arrive via competitions over here. Still looking for the panda and co to arrive. --Indecision 17:23, 30 April 2007 (EDT)
- Ah, thanks! Too bad GW lacks the elements the Asian gamer population tend to look for in MMOGs - promos like this help, I guess, but I doubt they're really enough to keep the Asian market interested. ~ Kailianna Firesoul 17:41, 30 April 2007 (EDT)
- Can someone fix the shiroken link. That ain't how you spell it, and I don't know how either. "Shiro'ken"? - BeX 00:56, 1 May 2007 (EDT)

- Because of the companies that sponser them. If you have a few spare millions floating around, feel free to make a proposal to ANet :P — Skuld 10:48, 1 May 2007 (EDT)
Gaile did say something yesterday in regards to ALL players being able to get ALL minipets one way or another... wether it is via a competition or whatever, she hinted at a new weekend coming up. This was all while she was running around dragon nest in shin jae Keirou 23:39, 1 May 2007 (EDT)
- Well you ARE able to buy them all, hehe. If what they really plan on making an even where you can obtain all mini-pets ingame, a lot of people will lose a lot of money and be very pissed off I guess. --Xeeron 08:47, 8 May 2007 (EDT)
Minipet makes noise when monster is nearby?
I have a Jungle Troll that I summoned on a quest, and I noticed it growls whenever one or more monsters are nearby (a little outside the aggro bubble). Can anyone else confirm this, or was it just sheer coincidence on my part?
- Minipets used to make no sounds. It was changed in an update that they can be shown in towns, so it was removed that they do sounds in towns. Outsides they should make sounds everytime, so not every monster is able to make sound. My Fungal Wallow is a silent one ;-) - MSorglos 08:10, 8 May 2007 (EDT)
- Yes and yes fungals do own as greatest minipet ever :P, I heard minipets count as an extra ally for Leadership but unless it's only with trolls I doubt they have in-built censors. Quazark Zeklar 17:39, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
Auction Websites?
Does anyone know of a good auction websit to buy mini-pets from, GuildwarsGuru.com/auction is one, but it seems hard to use. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Freakishly Ugly God .
- No sorry, you could just try one of the main cities in game, a lot of people sell mini pets there. --Lemming64 15:53, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- i have found another its guildwars.gameamp.com its better but less stuff, and im only placeing these here because sometimes these sites alow you to buy pets at a lower price and give you a more direct look at what you want.--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Freakishly Ugly God .
Miniature totals
I was thinking, how about for the Asian miniatures we could add totals of how many there are ingame to each page. Someone has actually already added a total to the Miniature Island Guardian. And it makes sense because we have all the sources of where they came from and numbers of how many where given already on their pages. --File:User Wacked 1 Link Sprite.gif Wacked 1 13:17, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- Whilst the others don't have a total, they do have counts of how many came from each source. --Lemming64 18:14, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- Is it possible the number of Pandas, Island Guardians etc have increased with the duping bug? Some people might have duped them and traded them fairly to others, and A-Net might not have decided to delete the duped Panda because the other player got it "fairly". It is also possible, even likely, that someone traded a high end minature for duped items and the Minature was in the inventory of a player who was banned as a result of this. This would mean that minature is no longer in circulation. Dancing Gnome 09:57, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

- Because ANet haven't done any events here in Australia, and Australia publicists dont get the American promo magazines. so thats 13 miniatures Australia will never get, yet Gaile has said there will be a means for ALL to obtain. Keirou

Mini Devona
Is this picture real or another fake one? MageMontu 07:29, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
- I'd say it's fake. Look at the chat, first of all, seems like a dev server or so. The district list says Ascalon City, but Devona isn't in Ascalon, she's in Lakeside County in pre. Apart from that, she's lvl 0 and has no name :P - anja 13:54, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Its not a fake, it looks like a dev test server, and thus the mini-pet is not out yet and should not be recorded.--68.192.188.142 23:50, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- It does look like a dev server, true. But Anja is right there is something very suspicious about it. Also if you look at the map there are no green or red markers around meaning that there are no other NPCs or enemies around. Which is not true as there are some NPCs in that area including alot of warthogs. :P --Alien 19:04, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

In-Game Miniatures?
- → moved from User talk:Gaile Gray
Gaile, I love minis and you love minis, so between mini lovers, are there any mor plans of an in game mini that is acquirable in the same way as the Black Moa Chick? estoldt 07:38, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- I think this is a great topic for a fan poll! I've been waiting for the web team to have the opportunity to finish up the website polling software and that was going to be the topic of one of my first polls, but if wiki members want to add their suggestions for minis on my page, that's great too! We had our last crop of minis earlier this year, for the birthday gifts, and I bet there are a lot that players would like to see in the game, including some of the new creatures in GW:EN. (Ultimately the decision will be made by Lead Designer James Phinney, but it would be cool to have suggestions to share.) --Gaile 16:33, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

- Nice idea! So I'm going to assume we all agree the Pre-Searing bunny is the right one for that area, but for the others... ? --Gaile 20:25, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- What about a Mini Gaile Gray? -elviondale (tahlk) 20:43, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- A mini Gaile Gray would be sweet... IF it wore whatever she wore when she last logged out, so armor, a holiday hat, a cool bow... that would be sweet if they just took the mini koss and reskinned it with gaile, and had it update with whatever she wore... or the frog...Haha, umm, okay, here's what i can think up...
- Prophecies= Miniature Bunny
- Factions= Miniature Flesh Golem
- Nightfall= Miniature Junundu
- Eye of the North= Miniature Asuran G.O.L.E.M.
- (also with the help of my alliance, these were the most popular)
- estoldt 03:00, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

- Yeah, almost exactly like that, something difficult and long, but in the end a cute little minipet! I'm hoping that this gets implemented...sometime.estoldt 22:41, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- I'm all for it! My suggestions/opinion on current suggestions:
- Prophecies = Miniature Bunny - great, but don't add it to pre-sear, because there are probably many people who don't have a slot for a pre-sear-character and would be left out. It's probably better to make the quest revolve around finding and rescuing a rabbit in post-sear.
- Factions = Miniature Flesh Golem - a very good idea. This would probably be the first summon to be turned into a Mini, so it'd definitely stand out against other creatures from Factions. Oh, and I can see a really crazy quest coming that would allow to have a mini Flesh Golem. It's a summon after all, so you'll need something to make it permanent ^^
- Nightfall = Miniature Lion/Lioness - We already got a mini that travels underground (the Mandragor), and I think Lions would fit great into the desert theme.
- Eye of the North = Miniature Fenrir/Kvelduf - I've definitely fallen in love with whoever created that creature. As a creature probably inspired by Norse mythology, it fits great into the theme of Eye of the North, and there's nothing as cool as a two-headed wolf!
- Okay, i totally Agree with your Eye of the north idea, Fenrir is a good plan. but i still think we should all put our heads together for a really good nightfall Mini. estoldt 23:11, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

- Okay, I'm sold:
- Prophecies= Miniature Bunny
- Factions= Miniature Flesh Golem
- Nightfall= Miniature Abaddon Parts
- Eye of the North= Miniature Kvelduf
- Hope to see these, but will probably turn to a fanpoll first. estoldt 23:58, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- A mini Flesh-Golem would be great, but the two minis I'd really like to see are a mini Grasp of Insanity (can't help but think they're cute even when they're ripping me apart) and a mini Graven Monolith. A mini Monolith would be great for Nightfall, considering the part they play in the plot, and it'd look fantastic having it follow you around using reform carvings once in a while. It'd be like a 3 in 1 special! --NieA7 08:48, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- No suggestions for a Mini-Ooze? Blasphemy! Having one of those things rolling and jumping along behind you would be awesome... I can just see the quest for it too, you need to collect different types of Ooze for an Asuran experiment of some sort or something. Although Kvelduf's nifty too.
- Abbadon would be awesome, but perhaps having a mini-god following you around might be pushing it. What about guys like The Hunger? Or any one of those other big guys you only see in Nightfall. Ooh! Junuundu Wurm anyone? -- Ĵĩôřũĵĩ Đēŗāķō.>.cнаt^ 08:55, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

- This is a fan poll, and nothing more. No agreements reached, no decisions made. That will fall to the designers, although I know they will take care to read your thoughts, if miniatures are added in the future. Actually, though, a flesh golem would not be my first choice, and I totally am in love with the Ooze! :) --Gaile 19:31, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Bug needs checking
When you double click fast between mini pets or on the same one over and over (have to be in town) you can get "Lvl 1" or the "group of 8 symbol" or the "group of 4 symbol" to show above the mini pet. It maybe 10 times before it shows. It's easy to miss when the bug occurs. So if you see it try again and stop every now and again eventually it will happen.
- Well the fact that its a randomly occurring bug just means that by spam-whipping it out, you are more likely to see it occur. -elviondale (tahlk) 22:07, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
Bug?
QUOTE: Miniatures die when hit by a snow ball or boulder in Eye of the North.
- I don't think that this should be listed as a bug as I would have thought that it was put there intentionally rather than accidently. :P --Alien 17:12, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- Right, fixed. Foo 21:35, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- To be honest we don't know either way. However I don't think this is intentional as a. you have a child dieing and b. potentially you can have a panda dieing, both of these are not present in the game for legal reasons and therefore it doesn't make sense that miniatures should die. --Lemming 21:38, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- That is very true and also crossed my mind when i saw the picture of Gwen dead on floor, I would have thought that she would have a crying emote like the other children ingame. The Panda also is a bit strange as players have alays asked for a pet panda and they have always said because of that exact reason. However pushing all this aside I am 99.9% sure that miniatures are supposed to die when hit by a boulder. --Alien 18:27, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- I also don't feel this is a bug, because they reacted to effects before this already. Like, Giant Stomp knocks your mini's down. BlazeRick 22:10, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Table head colors
Ok, is there really a reason why it is necessary to remove the header colors? More importantly, is it necessary to have a revert war? LEAVE IT -elviondale (tahlk) 19:34, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

- No No i'm not saying it was wrong of you to put them there at all. It just seems to be showing up incorrectly on my computer for some reason. I was just saying this because this could be the reason why people have been reverting it so much, because other users are maybe seeing it the same way it is appearing to me. It is especially anoying because the text is also black, so the headers simply appear to me just as a black box with no text... unless I highlight it ofcourse. ;) --Alien 19:58, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

3rd Series Mini Pets?

Hi Gaile, as we all know you love your mini pets and so do i :D. The other day i was bored and thinking up mini pets for the 3rd Series and here is what i came up with.

Tell me what ya think :D, Cheers DazUltra 04:44, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
- Excellent list, I would love to see a mini glint and oakheart to, but I think Freezie and Ice Elemental would really be almost the same thing, I would also be wondering if Gaile could confirm a 3rd series of minis Fall 04:48, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

- I like DazUltra's suggestion more. I'd put more GWEN stuff in the whites, tho, since ~50% of the whites have been the current campaign. Stuff like a Norn Warrior, one of the dinosaur types, a GOLEM from Oola's Lab, maybe one of the Krait variations. That sort of thing. Imo, a Krait Devouss would be an awesome minipet. They have the same flight animation as Kuunavang, but it isn't bugged like hers is. Mesodreth Blackwing 06:45, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
- I was talking to John, on the design team, and he says that there is a modest concern about Glint, in that her poly count is very high. That's not to say that it's impossible for her to ever serve the role of a miniature, but I thought I'd mention that as an interesting bit of trivia.
- I'm thinking that Mad King Thorn would be marvelous, I love our spider animations and art, I'm a huge dinosaur fan, and of course I'm still stuck on the Ooze. Well, figuratively :) -- Gaile 22:33, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

- im likeing alot of the above, but i would refrain from choosing ally npc minis, look at the results from the last set-mini koss, zhed, and wintersday elf,i'll be lucky to sell one for 5k now, so i'd stick with monsters. some ideas like cave spider, smite crawler seem like good gold ones, ooze, raptor, avalanche, stone summit beast master or doylak master, terroweb dryder, mantid drone/darkwing,fanged iboga, preying lance, cracked mesa, shadow beast, grasps, and mursatt seem like good throw ups for white and purple, and the green should be a main character of GW:EN such as......too bad destroyers alrdy taken.....norn bear, dwarf, vangaurd, not much options, hope someone else thinks of a good green one.
- I like the ideas, especialy ooze and glint. Heres a list I made (not specific, anets smart ;) they can figure out) any way I appolgize for the terrible post, Im a bit new and dont get it, any way here it is!

Mini Mad King
Gaile suggested here(see Gaile talk) that there will be Mini Mad Kings up for grabs at this years Halloween event. I didn't know where on the page to add this though - maybe someone else would do it for me. Thanks, FirstSunspear 18:36, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
- At the moment I believe Gaile said, she would like a Mini mad king, not that there would be one. I would prefer to leave such speculation off of the page until we have something more concrete personally. --Lemming 18:38, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

- Sorry for the misunderstanding, but what I've been saying is that I'm lobbying the designers to include a Mad King Mini in the birthday miniatures or something like that. As you could see, there were no miniatures added to the Halloween event, which I think it fine, because the special gift has always been a hat or helm, and we did get two of those. -- Gaile 18:15, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

Vine Seed Effect
I was doing the Bloodstone Fen mission today, just after getting a mini Shiro, and I noticed something strange. When I dropped a vine seed, Shiro would get knocked down, and a "cage" of vines would grow up around him. This lasted only a second before it disappeared. I think more research into this is needed.Ashes Of Doom 02:25, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- Well, when vine seeds are dropped, they sprout for a second and then revert back to the seed to be picked up agian. but i dunno why it made shiro fall over.estoldt 06:01, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

3rd Year Mini Ideas
- → moved from User talk:Gaile Gray
Hey! I was thinking of ideas for new minipets, and I really think that you should put The Frog as a mini this year :) That would be really cool! Also, I think that a feline minipet should be in this collection as well. Thanks for your time! Mattman243 17:01, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
=( honestly, although they ask for suggestions I have yet to see many suggestions put in. Gaile herself said she would love a Mini Mad King, there were thousands of peeps that were waiting for one this year... and yet, we were let down. =-'(--Ñ'öẊĭƑý 20:49, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- They never have given out minis as part of Halloween, and I don't believe Gaile ever said that she'd want a Mad King mini for Halloween, just that she'd want one (can't find a log at the moment). There's a chance it'll probably end up as a birthday gift, which is the only conceivable means it would have happened anyway. - HeWhoIsPale 20:57, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- Not exactly the only conceivable way to happen. They could have had a short series of quests, similar to the mini moa pet quest.--Pyron Sy 21:51, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- The mini moa quest wasn't added in as a whim a few weeks before a holiday event, it was a complex quest-less chain that was planned into the launch of GW:EN. Also: as per not many suggestions being put in. Sure they ask for suggestions, but most of them are pretty bad and a lot of others are impractical. - HeWhoIsPale 21:58, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- Never said it would be easy to implement, or possible to add in a matter of days. I'm just pointing out that there is a precedent for minis to be awarded outside of promo deals and birthday gifts.--Pyron Sy 23:10, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

- Gaile it would be great if we could get a minature every year for each festival, so far I know of only 4 festivals, Canthan New Year, Dragon, Wintersday and Halloween. I don't know the time it goes into making a minaure and implementing it into the festival coding but there is a precedent for it so it's possible. I would love to see more minatures in festivals, the pigs were so exciting! Anon
- No, the pigs were stupid, there was like enough for everyone to have a dozen each. IMO, minipets should be something special, not something handed out willy-nilly all the time. — Skuld 08:30, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
- mmmm... I kinda like how minis are acquired in several different ways. It lets new players have a higher chance of getting one sooner and gives us collectors more of a challenge to get (almost) all. -elviondale (tahlk) 08:39, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
- Handing out a mini at an event is a good idea, but handing out fifty per char per event is what skuld's talking about.
- If ANet was looking for ideas, I really liked the art for the Nian. Maybe they could make a mini one of those? -Auron 08:56, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
- Arent the nian an overhaul of the temple guardian model and those are already a 1st year mini. -- Salome 10:21, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
- ArenaNet re-skinned armors and sold them as new content in grind of the north (and are proud of it), so I don't see that stopping them from making a Nian mini. On the other hand, many of their second-year minis were impressive (lich lord and aatxe are cool overall, and the mandragor and heket have cool moving graphics), so my hopes are still pretty high. -Auron 12:13, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
- Mini Pigs weren't handed out 50 per person... you got one for being ina succesful district, I know plenty of people who went to the festival and didn't receive any pigs. If you district hoped and went to all of the finales searching for a successful one that was your choice, but I think that would have been the minority of people. It is very narrow minded to think a majority of the player base attended a sucessful district during a finale, let alone multiple times. Festivals ARE very exclusice, shown by the festival masks. If a minature were to be given during them, it was available at that festival, just another small joy from the festival that stays around like the mask. I like minatures in game from something you have done or been to more than the luck of the draw after one year, which seems kinda boring. It's also cool to have a "present" during the festivals aside from candy/masks. I do LOVE the Nian reskin though, but it's too similair to temple guardian and I was hoping each Canthan New Year would have an in game minature for the totem animal, like tiger, simian for monkey etc. Anon
- I'm pretty sure (though its only speculation) that the pig was given in honor of 2007 being The Year of the Pig, if that's true then I'm hoping to see this year giving us a lovely little rat. :) I also agree that the many ways miniatures are given helps make each and every one special in its own way. I love the little guys and have the crazed dream of collecting them all, so any additions of any kind make me giddy. When the ceradon came out I was spastic trying to find that magazine, I'd be the same regardless of where the miniature came from. DelvingAngel 23:37, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

- ArenaNet re-skinned armors and sold them as new content in grind of the north (and are proud of it), so I don't see that stopping them from making a Nian mini. - Arent the nian an overhaul of the temple guardian model and those are already a 1st year mini. -- Salome 10:21, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
- mmmm... I kinda like how minis are acquired in several different ways. It lets new players have a higher chance of getting one sooner and gives us collectors more of a challenge to get (almost) all. -elviondale (tahlk) 08:39, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
- No, the pigs were stupid, there was like enough for everyone to have a dozen each. IMO, minipets should be something special, not something handed out willy-nilly all the time. — Skuld 08:30, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
Anon
- Know what would be cool? To have a polling option! I suspect that wikis don't really have those, so we may need to look to the website, which is fine because I put in the request some time ago for a website poll system and I know it's in the queue. I think it would be so nice to have that in place for topics like this. Even though we all know the designers would not in any way be bound by our votes, it would just be plain fun to share thoughts on what we each felt was the coolest potential miniature. Maybe in the new year we'll see some new additions to the website, including an opportunity to share opinions about miniatures, past and future. -- Gaile 06:35, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- Awsome idea, only a poll would solve it, else we could just continue getting nowhere lol --Cursed Angel 20:51, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- There is a poll extension that can be added, but I don't know if it would be a valuable enough tool to be installed. The link on it is http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Poll. --Pyron Sy 22:42, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

- What about things like Mini Dervishes and Mini Ritulists??? like dressed up in Armor like The pictures here on wiki?? i think that would be cool, i am also keen to see some little mad king thorns and some mini ooze :) --Wild rituals 12:56, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Canthan New Year '08
Just wondering how we came to the conclusion that there would be 2 new minis? Gaile Said that the mini rat is confirmed and that the festival ending prize is unlike anything seen before, it may not be a miniature. I'll change the article as such until more details are presented. -- Broodling 07:30, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Leap Year
This isn't the most game breaking bug, but my rit got her first birthday present a day early after the leap day. --Valshia 16:52, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
- Lmao. They don't calculate Leap Day, most of the time. That's why everyone with a digital watch needed to change the date back a day on Friday. ANet never set the clock back, so yours came a day early. Calor 17:03, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Minis In a District
- → moved from User talk:Gaile Gray
I have come across this: In KoaBD the amount of minis you can show goes up from 1-4? Is this true as a district has a very low mini cap of 20. Which would seem weird and unfair. (taken from title track page) 68.151.27.108 03:37, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not sure where you get that, but an individual cannot show more than one mini at a time.. and yes, each district has a limit of 20 minis visible at once. I assume its just to save on resources. - THARKUN 03:41, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Now that there will be 3 Years Worth
We're going to need a new storage solution. I have all 1st and 2nd year minis on my person and in storage, and I'll be sure to buy all the 3rd year minis I can get my hands on - But I'm not going to have anywhere to put them. I really think there needs to be an update where we can store our minis in the Hall of Monuments. If you want to swap out your mini, you have to go to the monument and access storage there. (And logically, let us store our elite armor and destroyer weapons, since we need so many to have a full hall!)
- Would you pay $9.99 for another tab in storage? What if that tab was bigger? If you answered yes, consider buying another character slot. I say this because this has been shot down many times -elviondale (tahlk) 05:48, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Frog
So, Gaile wrote this on her user page:
- Lastly, I can confirm the presence of a new miniature in the game, but this is one whose birth was and shall be limited to a single being. As the story foretold, The Frog and I will be journeying together throughout Tyria, Cantha, and Elona. It is appropriate, and fitting, and oh so unexpectedly wonderful, that he is truly with me, in a very real way, in the fantasy that is Guild Wars.
Basically she is saying that she got a unique frog mini. Any info / screenshots? Anyone want to add it to the article? -- (gem / talk) 10:29, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

New AI for Minis?
If Anet would make the minis that hate each other (Togo/Shiro and Charr/Rurik) fight each other, people would love that! Treesbyty 12:22, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- Like fights that never end? Methinks comparable to that Vizu vs. Shiro fight in that one cutscene... An interesting idea but too insigificant to be added.- Vanguard 12:23, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- I tend to agree with you, but you never know. I thought the same thing as I sold 4 stacks of demonic remains (thinking there was never going to be a collector), only to kick myself repeatedly 3 days later when they traded in 1 for 1 for fireworks. -elviondale (tahlk) 19:37, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
UW and FoW
First year: two minis from the FoW. Second year: one mini for the UW. Third year: two minis from the FoW. I can only guess that next year we will get UW minis again. smiter and mindblade? I'll wait and see :] Foo 23:02, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

A little disapointing
Is it just me, or was the third year mini series a little disapointing? No glint, and no abaddon :( --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:74.93.126.21 (talk).
- disappointing? Well, at most the two miniatures that were used a remodeled version of already existing (Miniature Forest Minotaur/Miniature Aatxe and Miniature Black Beast of Aaaaarrrrrrggghhh/Miniature Greased Lightning). Though it won't be completly avoidable in the next years, and many players were happy about the black beast, additionally there were also several models players waited for, also as Anet got this time inspired by the players' proposals i think.
- And you have to consider that like this, we still have new interesting models for the next year. —ZerphaThe Improver 01:10, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- Whether it's disappointing or not is relative I'm afraid :) you'll surely find other players who like them just fine. -- ab.er.rant 10:25, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- I haven't even seen any of them ingame and i'm already disappointed. It's been 3 years since GW's release. We got a 'relatively' sweet dragon with the mini Kuunavang, but now i think it's time for a kickass dragon with a miniature Glint. A significant character in the story should be awarded a miniature. (i mean, come on.. Koss and Zhed both have one.. and they S-U-C-K!) And yes, i'm only talkin about Glint, because i don't really care about any other miniatures, except my mini Shaman. :) - Trixor

Do yall think that the reason minipets have lvls on them is because they're trying test how minipet can fight alongside with their owner --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:VictorsGuildWars (talk).

- Mostly because no one added them in. Probably because it might make the already long page a bit too cluttered. You could try Category:Miniature icons, although the auto-resize won't make the small icons look nice. -- ab.er.rant 14:52, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

I was wondering as all the icons are redirects now anyway why not lay the page out something like this:

Duping act of '07
So... what is this? I've been playing since '05 but ive never heard of this before. Ive looked on both wikis, there's no article or description of the duping act.--FireTock 14:43, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- Uh, do you really need a description? A bug was reported on guru, the guru bug testers successfully duped red dye (which later became a sort of secret word for stacks of armbraces), and pretty much everyone in on the deal got 1750+ armbraces. There are some screenshots floating around of someone offering 7 stacks of 250 armbraces each, all from the dupe.
- Anet banned some of them, but it was too little and too late. The damage to the economy (lol) was done. -Auron 03:29, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
