Talk:Miniature Celestial Dragon
Expensive![edit]
I think these will be much sought-after, just as the mini Kuunivangs were/are. I'm pretty sure their price won't be the 20k that has been normal for celestial minis in the past (right at release). We'll see if it decreases the price of mini Kuuni. EtherealHeritage 06:46, 2 February 2012 (UTC)
- If the drop rate is as such as last year, these won't be very expensive. I had a really hard time getting rid of my bunnies last year, market was flooded.--Fogeltje 22:14, 2 February 2012 (UTC)
Drop Research[edit]
I took my 120 tokens from a previous year (I don't remember when) and got 40 Lunar Fortunes. Within the first 30 Fortunes, I had the Dragon in my hand. This thing is so amazing.
- Very nice! I did the quests in Cantha with two toons simultaneously. The first batch of 250 tokens (83 fortunes) yielded none but towards the end of the second batch (after another run) I held a dragon in my hands also. Very nice pet, it even growls I think.--Fogeltje 22:14, 2 February 2012 (UTC)
- It took me 5 fortunes to get my first dragon, a guildy of mine had 2 in 83 fortunes, and many others I know got it earlier, I'm not sure if the drop rate is still the same.. --Kilaa1000 22:39, 2 February 2012 (UTC)
- I'm up to 4 dragons now after 174 fortunes..

I got my first Celestial Dragon when I opened my.... FIRST Lunar Fortune, my very 1st one I got it :P Ill keep farming to sell the other ones, but gee I feel so lucky :3 'H'aunted 'S'hadow
- Currently used over 200 fortunes myself so far, still no Dragon...either the drop rate isn't the greatest, or it's just my luck, as usual... 82.11.226.30 06:11, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
I got 6 from 261 fortunes...I'm not sure I believe 0.5% chance O.O EtariP sdrawkcaB ehT 06:14, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
After 252 fortunes on same character I got only one dragon... opened 172 outside Lutgardis Conservatory and got my first one a little past 100. The rest opened on Saoshang Trail and no more dragons. --Caroflator
- I've now finished the quests with all my PvE characters, totalling over 450 lunar fortunes (which is over 1350 tokens, mind). I finally got my Dragon on the last batch, with only 27 lunar fortunes left to spare. I did not get a second. I'm thinking the drop rate on this isn't quite so hot as people think...at least I suppose I got many points towards my party animal title track in the process (though woulda been more if I had been able to spend at least some tokens on Gifts instead of Fortunes). 82.11.226.30 11:04, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
- Well I'm done I think. I didn't keep track like I did last year. I did the PvE quests in Cantha with about 19 toons, yielded me around 800 Lunar Fortunes I think. I wasn't as lucky as last year and "only" got 3 Dragons. But I'm happy with them.--Fogeltje 18:48, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
- Is the drop rate the same as last year ? For ~320 fortunes I had six rabbits last year, but I have yet to see a dragon for the same amount... 213.166.206.73 13:22, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
- Apparently they really borked the drop rate this year, 3 stacks of fortunes and not a single one...wtf. I'm only gonna try one more then I quit, there's no point in wasting this much time on a stupid minipet. Nay the One and Only 14:20, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
- Actually I think last years drop rate was off. I still think this shouldn't be too easy to get. Those bunnies were dropping like crazy last year.--Fogeltje 15:06, 4 February 2012 (UTC)

Last year 8 stacks of fortunes give me no rabbits. This year the 66th fortune gave me a dragon.
- Got one myself, with 35 Lunar Fortunes. Erasculio 16:40, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
- Got screwed the past three years on getting minis from ~300 fortunes. This year, did the same, got 3 dragons. Dragon's not even my year, but I like my current 1% odds! 99.239.202.171 17:26, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
- Just opened 844 Lunar Fortunes, got 3 dragons. C0Zm1c 19:38, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
- Got my first one after 24 fortunes (Clobimon Craiggy 03:58, 5 February 2012 (UTC))

I opened 357 Lunar Fortunes and got none. Ended up buying one from somebody in town.... ~ A R A ~ 05:22, 5 February 2012 (UTC)
- I beat you all :P 626 fortunes...only one dragon, close to no. 600. PalkiaX50 02:09, 6 February 2012 (UTC)
- Well.. I opened a bit over 3,000 fortunes and got 13 dragons, rounding out to about 250 fortunes a dragon. Used the money to rebirth my old guild. Shame all of my friends have completely left the game. Re-rolled a token farmer 20 times. Glad this is the last CNY before GW2. I don't think I can do those quests anymore, lol. -- Magic Talk 07:15, 6 February 2012 (UTC)
- Got 2 celestial dragon mini within the first 50 fortunes. booya! (the res of the stack were dudes) ^_^ --Falconeye 08:44, 6 February 2012 (UTC)
This year I went through four batches of 500 LFs each. I tried three batches with getting Lucky Aura first and a fourth batch without getting it first.
- 500 LFs = 5 (w/LA)
- 500 LFs = 1 (w/o LA)
- 500 LFs = 3 (w/LA)
- 500 LFs = 4 (w/LA)
By getting LA first, I mean opening up LFs until I got LA and then blasting through the rest. If I got LB or SP, I'd go inside and back out until I got LA first. Maybe it's just coincidence. Sardaukar 22:41, 6 February 2012 (UTC)
- Arena.net has said that Lucky Aura doesn't actually have an effect. It's essentually the opposite of Spiritual Possession. It's basically like "felix felicis" from Harry Potter. It's placed into the game to make you feel or think that you're gaining a lucky boost, thus contributing to the moral of the user playing in the Canthan New Year event. -- Magic Talk 23:47, 6 February 2012 (UTC)
- A placebo? Very strange. Thanks for the feedback. Sardaukar 01:47, 7 February 2012 (UTC)
