Talk:Order of Apostasy
ROFL an elite costing 25e and a chance to kill you with 1-2 prot monks around. Lol. Ninjas In The Sky 19:57, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- oh, i wouldn't underrate this one. It's quite popular in HA, and i also think it could proof useful for PvE, despite being a rather unused skill there. —ZerphaThe Improver 11:59, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
In hard mode, the afflicted generally kil themselves off with this skill.William Wallace 19:13, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
combine with dervish skill extend enchantments to make this skill more energy efficient.
- No need for 1-2 prot monks Ninja. Just a Dwayna's Sorrow monk and you re pretty much dead... for nothing lol Eth 12:58, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
- Who's to say that the only enchantments being removed are monk enchantments? The health loss is triggered only when monk enchantments are removed...Ritualists, Assassins, Elementalists, Necromancers, Mesmers and Dervishes all use enchantments. 66.250.190.105 13:36, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

anyone notice how the "concise" description is actually longer than the normal description? i wonder why we have a "concise" descriptions to begin with, they are generally just about as long as the normal description(and sometimes longer) and don't contribute to anything really...
- Concise does not mean the description is going to be a shortened version, but worded differently to make the skill's effect more understandable. ~ Chao 20:12, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
except that the concise description is also sometimes more difficult to understand.
- And "concise" does mean "shortened."216.185.250.92 01:06, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
Just for information: the french translation is wrongly worded... it says that party members got an enchantment removed every time they inflict damage! :) 68.88.232.203 03:23, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Air of Enchantment[edit]
Does it work with this skill? --68.102.60.210 20:49, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
is -5e on a 25e skill (both being elite/1 isnt even self targetable) really something that needs investigating? No need to ask a question just to ask a question. Justice 02:46, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

Dark Apostasy[edit]
...and this skill are related, aren't they? not only in name, but in functionality?--Ph03n1x 02:43, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- Not really. They both conditionally remove enchantments on hits, but, other than that, everything about the skills is different. I'd say these skills are no more related than Lightning Hammer and Penetrating Chop. is for Raine, etc. 03:01, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- Also, would it be useless trivia to add a link to the Wiki definition of apostasy in the trivia section on either of them? I never knew what the word meant, and since other skills like Chilblains have it it seems logical.--Ph03n1x 02:45, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- Go for it; chilblains and a few other skills have something similar. is for Raine, etc. 03:01, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- Aaaand it got reverted. Go-go inconsistency.--Ph03n1x 04:26, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- Really, though - the reasoning behind the revert was 'we're not a dictionary,' which I get, but if other pages like Chilblains and Warden of Saprophytes get to have definitions in their notes, why shouldn't the two Apostasy skills?--Ph03n1x 17:47, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
- And, I just noticed, Caltrops and Hidden Caltrops.--Ph03n1x 17:56, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
- I'd concise the trivia up a bit, but there is definitely a precedent. is for Raine, etc. 19:05, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
- What about something shorter: "Apostasy refers to the act of abandoning a religion." I mean, trivia is trivial, why not include a very concise tidbit about the actual practice that this skill is based on? If I get can get a go-ahead (or at least no "no"s) I will add the more concise trivia. It helps explain why the skill does what it does. FleshAndFaith 22:23, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
