Talk:Quarterknocking
qbullsing etc.[edit]
might also want to mention qbullsing if you predict they will try to kite as soon as they get up. Also might want to weigh the drawback of qknocking which is that you decrease your attack rate by breaking autoatk and if you hit your second kd too early you get no effect; people can go three hits -> kd and still catch 3/4 casts. Getting in that extra hit means more damage + the same amt of shutdown vs. warriors (who usually don't have 1/4 casts) for example. One other thing: with 1/2 sec activation attacks like savage slash (if you are under 33% ias on axe/sword) you can go three hits -> savage and still catch the 1/4 cast. --Portraits 20:46, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
- qbull's is sexy, but I think it should be put into a related article, since it isn't technically a qknock. is for Raine, etc. 21:05, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
- Worth mentioning its ezier to qknock using Protectors after a Cb? ( for timing purposes) 24.150.172.32 05:41, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
- may also be worth mentioning that you can go hammer kd -> hammer hit -> sword/axe hit -> 2nd hammer kd (under 33% ias) and qknock if you swap fast enough. You don't really have to time anything with this method so the chance of failing to qknock is less. I've seen some hammer wars on obs that also carry axes in a spare slot (presumably for faster adren/faster activating bulls) so this might be another use for that equip set-up.--Portraits 08:32, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Lyssa's Haste[edit]
It can be used to break a quarter-knock being performed on oneself. Is this a precedent? -- Oiseau | 06:04, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, Flash Enchantments do screw with Qknocking a tiny bit. See Fleeting Stability in particular. elix Omni 06:11, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
- I saw that on Fleeting Stability's talk page. I'd used Lyssa's Haste to interrupt Hammer Bash yesterday and that began my thinking on this. Raine made the point on Fleeting's talk that Shield Bash at 0 basically does the same thing, for less investment though. -- Oiseau | 22:23, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
- Lyssa's Haste at low spec, though, can be used for many more things than preventing attack skills from hitting. You can interrupt, say, Blackout, or a badly-placed Diversion or Shame, an Iron Palm or Shock, etc: it does, potentially more things than Shield Bash. Fleeting Stability as a defensive skill at low spec, though, is useful for fewer things than Shield Bash. — Raine Valen 22:26, 8 Mar 2011 (UTC)

Assassin Q knock[edit]
An attack chain from the assassin does not quarterknocks without a 25% IAS, or am I wrong ? With 1.33 as attack speed, only a 25% IAS will get it down to correct Q knock timing. Minae Iss 20:26, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- I believe that Dual Attacks automatically provide the correct timing to preform a Q-knock. I don't play sin, so I've just accepted that as common knowledge, but you're welcome to test and bring back findings if you'd like to change the page though. -- Oiseau | 21:36, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure that it won't with no ias, since without an ias WC only qknocks with a 1/2 sec into the dual kd. --184.153.31.65 22:54, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- 33% IAS or no IAS can both q-knock, depending on the chain. Plus, Exhausting Assault can always q-knock. –~=Ϛρѧякγ (τѧιк) ←♥– 23:11, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- Palm Strike sins qknock with no IAS. I remember this very, very well. — Raine Valen 0:24, 25 Apr 2011 (UTC)
Without any IAS, a chain with normal attack skills without activation time, does not q knocks IMO, I went with crip > Trampling Ox > Falling Lotus Strike > Horns of the Ox to the master of healing and he could cast all his 1/4 skills inbetween the knocks. To Raine, I even did it with Palm Strike and without flurry or any other IAS , u can not get the chain to q knock. Minae Iss 18:32, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
Suggestion[edit]
Could we possibly provide a list of skills that can be used to counter Quaterknocking on this page? With the advent of some Flash Enchantments, it could help people coping with Hammer warriors or Sins on their asses. 96.240.196.191 14:28, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
