For me the only prob with this armor is not that it's ugly but that it's relatively plain looking, nothing spectacular. 78.2.7.82 05:45, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

for me looking at each piece its ok. the pants arnt anything though. however the set put together just looks a touch goofy and i would wrather wear starter armor. some fow sets are good and others are a flop. mesmer, warrior, monk and necro fow stands out because there arnt any sets that look like them.--Justice 22:10, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Starter armour + monument gloves and boots would look quite similar to this.

just get norn armor for alot less money and better looks, this just looks ugly

....and I was wondering why for a while I never saw obsidian rangers. Now I know. It looks like a starter armor or in best cases like an elite armor. The Mask

I've been saving to get this set lately and was wondering which mask looks the best with the armor -- any suggestions??? Norn voad or Ranger's Mask from droks... they look best IMO And i like the armor, couse it's not really shiny looking, its natural and quite realistic. I allready have the gloves and shoes, going to get the other 2 parts when i farm some ectos and shards... Blind fold.--BTR 04:43, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

General Looks

I think this armor is the best looking armor for female rangers. It's realistic, really nice dye combos and most of all it does not clip like the Norn armor does. Dyed yellow or pink looks awesome. And with a tormented bow... Anyway, one of the rare armors that look like some kind of a dress, and the plain-looking part is only a quality. But hey, thats only my opinion... hf, Mickey

I agree. Rangers are naturalists; they wouldn't want to wear some overly flashy armor with a bunch of projections and pieces sticking off of it and such. This armor is simple and elegant, and in my opinion one of the best looking out there. Suits the ranger perfectly. - Ballad Morrow Sin
