Talk:Rift Warden

Historical content? okay, this was a never ending debate on GuildWiki ... do we establish something from the start here? --Barek 19:38, 7 February 2007 (PST)

I think putting Guild info on a wiki is either narcisistic or unnecessary. Most Guild Wars players didn't know about this guild, and don't need to know about it. If a guild needs to be mentioned, for instance for being top of the ladder in championships, then mention the name. We don't need to know the members, why it was formed, trivial information. - BeXoR 19:43, 7 February 2007 (PST)
If we let "trivia" like that get through, there's no end to what could be included, and without source. I mean my guild is called EQN. I could say it was inspired by 10 different things in the game, including Rift Wardens, Salvage Kits, Alcohol, Elementalist Ancient Armor... - BeXoR 19:45, 7 February 2007 (PST)
You mention: "Most Guild Wars players didn't know about this guild, and don't need to know about it." Then should we not write articles about kiting, because I know for a fact most Guild Wars players don't know about this, and for pve, don't need to know about it. --Narcism 19:49, 7 February 2007 (PST)

There's a direct link to the Guild of the Week where this information is from, on A.net's site!

If you have an argument as to why Guilds should be documented on the wiki, and to what extent leave your comments here: Guild Wars Wiki talk:Policy#Guilds - BeXoR 19:52, 7 February 2007 (PST)

Of course there should be a page on rift wardens. Reguarding the guild, look at it as an individual case, and not an over-exagerated what-if. — Skuld 00:12, 8 February 2007 (PST)

This is definitely an article about the mobs, not the guild. It still raises the question (which we dodged all year long on guildwiki) whether there should be documentation of features that are no longer part of the game on the wiki. --Xeeron 13:30, 8 February 2007 (PST)
In an ideal world, anything somebody discusses in chat about the game has a reference in the GWOWiki. With this as an objective, Rift Wardens certainly have their place here. GrammarNazi 12:49, 19 March 2007 (EDT)

2008[edit]

Where is this guy? Sethstijn 21:57, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

Certainly not in LA - maybe he comes later? --snogratUser Snograt signature.png 22:09, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
I can't find him in either Kamadan or Lions Arch, I think he's coming later or was accidentally left out. Baddock
They appear later... possibly by the end of the weekend. --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 01:57, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
Maybe a note should be added - I seem to remember this happening in previous years. Maybe some ANet input to tell us the timing of NPC appearences? I'm guessing it's to make people do the usual quests first, then giving them the repeatables to tide them over 'til the finale... --snogratUser Snograt signature.png 02:22, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
The Rift Warden is above the armour trader in Lions Arch --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.167.173.142 (talk).
Well, yes - he is now, but he wasn't when I wrote the above comments :) --snogratUser Snograt signature.png 23:10, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

It's a year later. I sure hope he showed up. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 23:41, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

2024[edit]

Rift Warden not seen in the supposed schedule. Anyone know what is up with that? BB19 (talk) 20:17, 20 December 2024 (UTC)

Nvm rift warden appeared. ~12:20 PM PST BB19 (talk) 20:26, 20 December 2024 (UTC)

Look at the notes section on Rift Warden he *always* shows up on the 20th at 20:00 utc, one day after Wintersday starts... as he has for years. Including the 2008 section above here on this talk page. Durp da durp (talk) 15:40, 21 December 2024 (UTC)
