Your logo image[edit]
Unfortunately, your logo image for this event is a copyright violation since the Rocky Horror Picture Show and all graphics related to it are copyrighted by Twentieth Century Fox. You will need to upload a different image. -- Wyn 22:53, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Changed that now Possum - talk 07:09, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- Because of the copyvio notice, you need to cite where the new image came from.-- Wyn 08:32, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- Dont know how to do that myself, It's just from an unnamed and uncopyrighted image on I.Ehow.com 90.193.106.98 08:45, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- That was me by the way, auto logout ftl Possum - talk 08:46, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- It seems that the original image Possum is referring to is here. From what I can see it is a public image hosted on ehow with no associated copywrite notices. Wyn is this all we need to do? I'm happy to take a pic of my own lips with red lippy if prefered, I'm pretty sure I own the copywrite on those ;) --Bunny - Angel talk 17:18, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- Just add that note to the image (edit image) and you should be fine. -- Wyn 20:00, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry Wyn, but neither of us know what you mean. Do you mean we need to write something on the image itself under the lips? Or is there somewhere in wiki we need to write something? I think you mean the "edit" page of the image page, but I went there and there is just code neither of us recognise so we don't know what to edit. If you could give us an example that'd be great. --Bunny - Angel talk 21:17, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, I've done something on the edit page of the image, but I'm not sure if I have done it right. --Bunny - Angel talk 06:57, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Texmod is not a Trojan[edit]
I've heard that a few people have had trouble using Texmod because their anti-virus program stops the application from functioning correctly. We've managed to sort out a few problems for people on an individual basis so far, but I think it would be helpful to share some information about the anti-virus "blocking" problem. Most people have been aware of this issue since Texmod became widely used with Guild Wars, but I share this for the benefit of others.
To quote the Frequently Asked Questions section of the official Texmod page on this wiki, if your anti-virus/anti-malware software uses heuristic detection, it might tell you that the Texmod application itself is a Trojan. The most common anti-virus software to do this is Norton, which does its job by placing the Texmod application into a virtual box and stopping it from replacing textures. You may not even be told it has done this, you simply wont see the costumes in Guild Wars even if you use the file provided for the event properly and follow the instructions correctly.
To clarify, a Trojan is a program with the ability to modify the way another program works. Since the purpose of Texmod is to modify how a program runs by replacing textures (in this case changing Guild Wars textures to give you a costume) it often gets mistaken for a Trojan by many many anti-virus programs. This is a common issue and people have overcome it so far by modifying their anti-virus settings.
Should you have a go and use Texmod? That's totally up to you, I can tell you I certainly enjoy it, especially working with our Possum and all his arty mods...but you should certainly make your own decision. I post this information so people can at least make an informed decision. --Bunny - Angel talk 20:47, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
Event[edit]
I can find no date. When is it?--Burning Freebies 21:58, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
- That's cuz there is no date ;) You can use it whenever you want. The decorations file will work as long as the Halloween decorations are up. And the Costumes file works always, only while Halloween decorations are up you have a big chance to see other people run around in costumes too. We (the hosts and our guildies) will run around in costumes as much as possible (I for example have a 'normal' pve and a 600 armor that's turned into a special costume). Of course we hope to see a lot of people in costume on All Hallow's Eve too, but why wait for that? :)-- Pepper - Dewdrop talk 22:19, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, i see. Is there a costume for Male Elementalists? By the way, great work (whoever made this, im not sure!) --Burning Freebies 09:26, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- No Freebies, there isn't a generic costume for Male Elementalists, or Male Necro for that matter. We decided that those classes are scary enough by themselves :P --Bunny - Angel talk 09:36, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, im scary enough alone. --Burning Freebies 13:53, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

- Yes...ahem...there was some discussion on an appropriate size for her fig leaves during the design phase. --Bunny - Angel talk 09:37, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- Lol,--Burning Freebies 13:47, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
- Does everybody see me as the costume or just me? Also is there anyway i can make my own costume? Simpaklimp 22:43, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
- Anyone running the Texmod will be able to see you in the costume. At Halloween there were a lot of people running the file so you could look around LA and Kamadan seeing loads of different costumes. Now that Halloween is over you can still enjoy the costumes among your friends, but yes, they need to run the Texmod file to see you properly. --Bunny - Angel talk 14:28, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

If anyone has the originals of the texmod files for this can they please upload them somewhere? All the provided links i tried said it was no longer available and its breaking my heart....I really wanted to try this Nay the One and Only 09:12, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
- Heya! I've asked Possum to rehost the original files and update the page for you :) --Bunny - Angel talk 10:10, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
- Well I had to reformat my my hd in an emergency and didn't get to backup my texmod files, and now the new link you guys put up just this year is no good :( Anyone out there have the files? Halloween is coming soon and I wanna be prepared! Nay the One and Only 05:54, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
- Heya! You're dead right, we should update the links before Halloween starts. Folks always seem to enjoy bringing this mod out of the drawer each year. We've updated them a few times, but it always seems to go bad after a few months. I'll ask Possum to get right on it asap :) (Bunny - Angel talk 10:04, 28 September 2011 (UTC))
- Links are dead :( Can anyone upload the files again? 71.15.87.193 22:09, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
