After Update[edit]
I think the skill will be changed to sth like that: "Hex Spell. For 3...13...15 seconds, target foe moves 25% slower and if target foe has no other Hexes, that foe has a cracked armor for 3...13...15 seconds." maybe they'll also add: "if another hex is cast on that target, that foe loses cracked armor." 87.177.233.163 12:15, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
- No need to lose Cracked Armor, it doesn't allow AL to go below 60. The entire purpose of that clause was to prevent armor reduction stacking, so now it's obsolete. TBH causing Cracked Armor and Cripple would be more valuable, because of Trampling Ox, and it would also prevent Discord being set up by a single .25 spell. GD Defender 12:21, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
Wouldn't that kinda make assassins the bane of just about any profession outthere?
I think this skill will combine very nice with the curent Toxic Chill/Vile Miasma combo after update.--83.131.156.199 02:31, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
This skill will be much weaker. Readem Sorry, I'll stop trolling now. 23:50, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
- Dude, this doesn't have a 60 AL limit...use this on an elementalist and they have 40 armor...just for your attacks though. I guess this+cracked armor and you can kill a warrior like a monk in pajamas? - Elder Angelus 21:07, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
- Frenzy Healsig + Shadowy Burden. Ohbaby --66.192.104.13 02:16, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
Question[edit]
If cast by multiple assassins on same target does the armor reduction go for each sin, or does it get canceled because of multiple hex clause if it counts the copy as an additional hex?? I'm perplexed by it and I cant check it. Might become a new gimmick team build :D, or not >.> -/- Discuss 19:07, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
Stupid question[edit]
I know the answer is probably no but i thought it would be better safe than sorry. so would this work for pets?--58.166.146.211 01:00, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
Nope, pets atacks arent your atacks :)) --Sanka02 17:26, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
Armor Removal Stacking?!?![edit]
i what i see from the skill contradicts these comments (no cracked armor), so ill assume they made yet another change to the skill. But i do have another question, its about the mechanics of this skill. Let's say hypothetically i had a D/A with Aura Slicer (for cracked armor x seconds) and this (13 second duration), if i apply both would it:
- reduce the enemies armor (from my attacks) BELOW the 60 armor CAP?
- or
- reduce it to 60 anyway, having cracked armor override the would be additional -20 armor
any answers?
I'm gonna try and make a build with this if it stacks :3 --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Epikphail (talk).
Ignores the 60 armor minimum[edit]
After testing this quite a bit on the master of damage (wanded him with 0 points in the wand's attributes) and looking at the average damage, it appears that this skill ignores the 60 armor minimum.BlackNova 23:52, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
- That would be because the 60 minimum only applies to the Cracked Armor condition. You start with lower than 60 on every type of character, so its not really a minimum for all situations. Guildwarsrunner 08:34, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
Rework Idea[edit]
Doom's Burden. 10 energy, 35 second recharge. Elite. Change attribute to Critical Strikes. Target foe is hexed with Doom's Burden. They move 25% slower and have -20 armor against only your attacks. After five seconds, this hex ends, dealing 10...20...30...40...50% of ALL damage dealt (not just from you) to the target during those five seconds. If this hex ends prematurely, that foe is healed for half of all damage dealt while the hex was on them. If the target dies to this hex, it is instantly recharged and you shadowstep directly away from them. If they die before this hex ends, it takes an additional 10 seconds to recharge and all of your attack skills are disabled for 10 seconds. 71.194.87.164 09:11, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
