Talk:Shivers of Dread
Concise Description[edit]
Is it supposed to say "actions" as opposed to "skills"? Does this duplicate behave differently to its prophecies equivalent? Euphoracle 17:18, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
- More than 10 years later: Just checked the in-game description. It says skills, not actions. Steve1 (talk) 20:53, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
Sense of Spinal Shivers duplicate?[edit]
Why did they make a duplicate of this Skill? Any other would have been better. The duration time is greater than the recharge, and maintaining this hex on two foes isn't a good idea, you will run out of energy in a short period of time. I couldn't imagine anyone was ever able to use both skills efficient. >.> I mean, Heal Area and Karei's Healing Circle isn't much better, but this effect twice in the skillbar just isn't worthwhile. —ZerphaThe Improver 15:22, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
- I'd say they created the cuplicates of basic skills, so someone without Prophecies would still get some "Prophecies only" skills they found important. I don't think the intent was to make it viable to bring two copies of the "same skill" - anja 15:34, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
- they made "core skills" so that people without proph would have those skills, this is intended to have 2 copies in a bar without echo 05:48, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Avatar of Grenth[edit]
Avatar of Grenth is suppose to add Cold damage to attacks... However, it doesn't seem to trigger Shivers of Dread. Do I need to use a Cold mod on my scythe?--Ex point 18:08, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
well whats funny about that is ALL cold dmg should trigger the interupt if foe is using a skill. WOW! double interupting with Maelstrom lol ;-) --Justice 21:26, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
Avatar of Grenth is currently bugged and doesn't deal cold damage. 76.27.230.246 04:43, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
They fixed the bug of grenth. --76.252.230.34 07:36, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
Hehe, RA Monks better watch out now.--12.215.65.154 00:22, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
how to loose less energy?[edit]
Is it like Protective Bond, if sevral characters cast it on the same target the energy lost is devided among them?Zomby 11:47, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
- No target can have multiple amounts of the same hex, so the entire thesis here wouldn't work. PowerGamer 01:27, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
- If two people cast Shivers of Dread on a target and interrupt; both lose full energy, if one cast Shivers of Dread and one cast Spinal Shiver; the one who cast first lose full energy. -Cursed Angel 20:30, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
- Interesting to know. I might look into same-hex stacking some more to see if there are any potential benefits despite the numerous cons. PowerGamer 22:45, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
- Will it cause double energy loss under Mantra of Resolve? is for Raine, etc. 03:05, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
- If it functions like Distracting Blow combined with a Scythe and Dazed, then yes. PowerGamer 17:21, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
