Talk:Signet of Judgment
Related skills[edit]
Do you really think shield of judgement is related? They share simular names and a knockdown, that's about it (other then damage type). Barkingllama 03:13, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
- simple answer: yes --86.151.100.16 11:14, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think its related cause Signet of Judgment knocks down when its casted and Shield of Judgement knocks down when the enchanted player is struck with an attack. --MageMontu 12:25, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- Why would they not be related? Both are in Smiting Prayers; both deal Holy-typed damage; both cause Knockdown--as you mentioned, one is by the skill itself, while the other is an effect of the skill (Enchantment). The manner in which the knockdown occurs seems trivial, re: Screaming Shot listing Hunter's Shot as related (and vice versa); both in this case are same-attribute, and cause Bleeding conditionally. Just my two cents. 24.113.71.87 10:18, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
- The ide'a here would be that one is an attack skill, while the other is a defence skill. Backsword 10:43, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
- What makes you classify SoJ as a defencive skill? It provides no healing inherently, does not reduce damage sustained in a direct manner (the knockdown slowing enemies' attacks is indrect compared to Faintheartedness, for example), and most importantly, it causes damage. Of course, the fact it's conditional damage (akin to Sliver Armor) stymies the argument it's an attack skill, but this is hardly what I'd call defencive, compared to Shield of Deflection or the ever-so-useful Reversal of Fortune. Short of the long: I'd personally argue it's related if only for the fact both do the same thing in different ways; related doesn't necessarily mean it has to do the same thing to-the-letter or be a dupe, I'd think. 24.113.71.87 12:23, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Both skills have the same governing attribute, damage type, and consequence.Instead of debating why this skill does or does not relate, offer to us where it should be referenced instead. For the sake of creating a build using the attributes you are already dipping into, do you really feel that the reference to either or is not justified or usefull?
- Ye, they're both in smiting and they're both bad elites. Sounds similar enough to me. -Auron 12:47, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
- Calling them both bad elites to be related? Even IF they were, just no.... thinking it over they both work too differently IMO. Removing as related for the following reasons:
- Skill Type
- Condtion
- Target
As opposed to calling them related for sharing a knockdown with the same damage type (this is like saying jagged strike and sever artery are related...) Barkingllama 21:22, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Except that jagged strike is for a assassin while sever artery is for warrior, jagged strike requires daggers while the other require sword. Jagged strike requires energy, while sever artery requires adrenaline. SoJ and SoJ got holy damage, same attribute, same class, pretty much the same name, causes knockdown.
U-FAIL. GAWD. well, there goes your argument. adding shield of judgement back in.Oni 00:20, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
In order to be related they only need to have 1 thing in common like holy damage or the attribute.Super Range Ranger
- That would mean having to link many skills, because "1 thing in common" just isn't enough. Why not just relate SoJ and Spear of Light? I mean, AFTERALL, they're both smiting prayers, and both deal holy damage.... </sarcasm> --Doombringer 19:44, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
- Why not? :p Super Range RangerCow 21:50, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
- OK time to make every healing skill in the game relate to each other because they all heal something...(yes i know im late getting here)96.18.59.23 18:51, 28 February 2012 (UTC)

- By oni's logic death blossom and blades of steel should be related too....removing the link. Barkingllama 02:58, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
Actually, Golden phoenix and Jagged strike are related too, cause thier both dagger attacks and chain skills.

Would be sweet (for pve)[edit]
if it knocked down adjacent foes too, but I guess that would be a tad weaker than meteor except it costs no energy and doesn't cause exhaustion.--114.77.170.142 06:27, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
- Wow, I could've sworn it DID knock down adjacent foes until I read this. This needs a little something extra to make it worth bringing over Ray of Judgment or even Shield of Judgment. Increasing the area to nearby and making it knock down all foes (or if that's too overpowered then put a cap on how many more foes can be affected like 1...3...5 or something) along with a recharge time reduction would be good. KD[edit]
