Hall of Heroes[edit]
This skill is used in the Hall of Heroes so that they Ghostly Hero can cap the Altar without being destroyed by a psychic distraction mesmer or another ranger. It's actually extremely useful for that purpose. Bubble Connections 00:21, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- So lets say, a ally uses Knock, and in the mean time 20 rangers fire Distracting Shot, does the ally get interrupted? ~ SCobra 00:30, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

- This skill is an example of what causes "Build Wars". Combined with a badly designed map, if you are running against this skill and do not have knockdown, you lose. You MUST bring a few skills to counter this or run the risk of losing.
- Please, show us how they use this skill to make it deadly since it takes a whole lot of fucking time to spam.--ShadowFog 23:22, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

Why Not A Shout?[edit]
Given the purpose of this skill (i.e. to counter interupts), why is this a 2 second activation chant (itself subject to interupt) rather than a shout? Lord Flynt 22:52, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- See also: chant:"A chant gives a one-time benefit to either an ally or all of the members of the party within earshot range.".
- Yoshida Keiji (talk) 11:07, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I don't see your point. A shout has no activation time, which would seem more appropriate for the purpose of this skill. Lord Flynt 06:55, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
- It is a pre-emptive anti-interrupt skill. It's very powerful and if this was a shout it'd be a staple skill on all Paragons both in PvE and PvP. The only ways to interrupt the target using a skill augmented by this skill's effect are knockdown, disabling, and death (AFAIK). It's already seen an incredible amount of play in the Hall of Heroes.
- As to YK's point: the skill type is chant. All chants have a 1 or 2 seconds activation time, mainly because (most of) their effects would be game breaking if they were instantly activated. - Infinite - talk 07:46, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for all the input here, but I still don't understand the objections. I understand why all chants aren't shouts; I'm only suggesting that this one should be. In a high rupt environment, this chant is likely to be rupted as well, which seems to negate the purpose of the skill. Say Panic is on your backline, as a shout, Song of Concentration wouldn't be rupted. While it may trigger the Panic, it would allow the next skill for each affected team member to activate. If that's too powerful for PvP (don't know, I'm strictly PvE), then split the skill. It's already 8 adrenaline, so I don't see the objections. Lord Flynt 05:36, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
- Ah, well if you intended it as a suggestion it would probably do better in the Feedback space. If you're unfamiliar with it, see Feedback:Getting_started. :) - Infinite - talk 15:12, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- As long as it follows a chant nomenclature (Song of ...) and not a shout nomenclature ("..!") it won't be changed into a shout and will have an activation time, the best thing you can hope for is an activation time reduction for PvE. Da Mystic Reaper 19:46, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- There are player shouts whose skill name aren't enclosed in quotation marks (") and doesn't have an exclamation mark (!). I.e. Godspeed, Steady Aim, and all the Beast Mastery shouts. --Silver Edge 21:37, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- Should we start a [Feedback:Petition to Change Skill Names] for those that dont follow skill nomanclature? ^_^ --Falconeye 22:05, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- You mean we should petition to change almost every skill name in the game? :P
- Maybe that's a bit exaggerated, but still. A lot of skill names have been changed and no longer follow nomenclature. That said, nomenclature in general was never very consistent in Guild Wars to begin with. - Infinite - talk 08:39, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

PvE Effectiveness[edit]
Is this skill even worth bringing on a Paragon hero? I know most Paragons are run as motigons or command support for hero bars but I can't quite tell how effective it has been for my PvE play. Any thoughts? AceOfBalthazar (talk) 07:18, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
- I suppose it's worth bringing if you have a caster-heavy party and have a skill slot to spare. Although, paragon is mostly used as a secondary profession for heroes rather than a primary paragon taking up an entire slot of your party. Jeree95 (talk) 12:50, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
- True, though it's sad to hear since I thought they'd have more potential... still, SoC aside it is rather hilarious running a P/W hero similar to a Ministry Captain and letting Morgahn go ham with SF, sometimes has his moments. Thanks for the reply AceOfBalthazar (talk) 09:50, 24 August 2016 (UTC)
