In the article first lines[[1]]:

"This quest [...] provides access to different quests for each profession[...]. These quests allow switching one's Secondary profession to that of the corresponding quest once completed."

Just checked today, you do not need to complete this quest before having access to the secondary profession change quests. As long as you are ascended, you can get the quests and change your secondary profession. It might be confusing as it look like the page says you HAVE to complete this quests before being able to start the quests from the profession changer npc's ( as said on [Profession Changer [2]]).

This quest just indicates where you can get those quests.

Uhmm Are we not sent to the Shiver Peaks by Glint because our Friends Lives are In mortal danger; So of Couuuurrrse, the first thing we are told to do is return to the Desert, to wander about fulfilling 3 more pointless 2ndary Quests; and we must if we are to be given our Attribute Quest.
