Res Shrine?

Should there not be a res shrine right outside Gates of Kryta? It shows one on mini map but it wasn't there. We went out three times and it wasn't there any of them. Em Jae 04:02, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

Jade Bows

Don't appear to spawn in NM, rezoned several times and never saw any. Are they only HM, and is this the case with all of the areas? Briareus 04:08, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

Way too OP

Seriously, an instant cast for all spells and he's with a jade cloak, who has Sandstorm and Churning Earth? Plus a bunch of resses? This entire group is way too OP and needs nerfed badly. Tender Wolf 17:50, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

It wasn't too bad with a full team of people, but henchmen should be infused if you're going to be facing foes with Spectral Agony. I'd like H&H to still be viable for these quests. Sardaukar 19:39, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

I can recommend a minion master and spirit spammer, the meat shield/increased damage output makes H/H doable (Aura of the Lich works nicely in combination with the stack of dead mergoyle), though you still have to have some luck in spawns. Most certainly not :p Nah, as far as I'm concerned Bauer isn't the problem so much as the Jade constructs and some of mantle builds surrounding him. The amount of raw damage they deal makes it tricky to deal with the entire group at a time; not Bauers shouts. As a matter of fact, "there's not enough time" was more of a buff to my party than to his allies, I suspect. Its not so bad if the Jade Constructs don't immediately go for the henchmen. They probably will if you rune or otherwise equip your heroes though beyond their defaults. I think I agree with Tender wolf. I've been beating my head against this mission for the last hour, trying different party types, but that shout he uses and his group makeup just make it almost impossible (unless you get lucky) to beat him. I don't have factions, so I can't utilize ritualists, but even then if you really need a Rt to beat this guy than this mission is broken. That is all I have to say. Talk about making PvE too easy all you want, but if you 'need' a certain class, then it is not the PvE that is too hard... Btw, I recommend zoning in and out until you get a makeup that doesn't have the cloaks in it; I have the most problems with them.EvianaMist, 19:35, 25 September 2011

Try this team build. Replace the rit with the RoJ in the eight-member crew. Or some sort of nuker, e.g. Searing Flames + Meteor + etc. I'm sure that some of the skills are Factions-only, but you should be able to find suitable replacements. Also try this guy's suggestions.

Incidentally, the Beyond content tends to assume that you have access to all three campaigns. I wouldn't argue that Rits are required (I've been on plenty of teams that don't use them at all), but I fear that choosing to do without them is an unnecessary handicap, especially for some of the other quests. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 01:10, 26 September 2011 (UTC)

I managed to get it done after a dozen and then some tries, just by luck alone. If you can get both Jade down without too much death penalty from your team, than the other 3 aren't too bad. The most dangerous foe with this guy is the Jade Cloaks. With his shout, and their churning earth, you will be ripped to pieces in a matter of seconds. This guy really is nuts in HM. Pain Inverter works very well as it does with all enemies who either attack really fast or who deal strong AoE damage. In HM I took a Discordway team with Xandra, Razah, and me (W/R). Drop PI on the Jade Cloak if it spawns. Use it on Bauer as well. Careful pulling to avoid overaggroing is a must. Good hunting. Cyryl Chevalier 23:44, 29 March 2012 (UTC)

I think you may have inadvertently seen him interrogating Farmer Dirk and then Camryn Jamison as both dialogues are required before a character can find Inquisitor Bauer and his reinforcements in Scoundrel's Rise (War in Kryta) and kill him for this bounty. Bearz 21:48, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

How to defeat in HM

I've managed to kill this guy with standard Discord + Orion+ Alesia. I went after Lashona first so I was able to cap the res shrine, next to the portal which is on the left side of Scounder's Rise. Anyways, don't fight any groups, other than Bauer coz they WTFOWN! I slipped pass the other groups, hugging the left wall and was albe to get Bauer's group. He took me down once coz I got consued, after he used his shout :/ The 2nd time he was all MINE! Did it in HM and I wasn't even INFUSED 0_0 --Monolito 19:18, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

One other way to kill him in HM with H/H. Bring your standard HM Hero complement (although Minion Masters and Spirit Wranglers are highly recommended to provide extra targets for the Jade constructs' Spectral Agony), and the two henchies of your choice (I brought Alesia and Reyna). Kill the groups of Mergoyles and White Mantle on your way to Bauer, then pull Bauer's group to your position (it's much too easy to draw aggro from the other WM groups near him if you fight him in his starting position). Now just concentrate fire on Bauer; ignore all of his minions and Jades (hopefully this is where your minions and spirits will provide a useful distraction). Bauer himself isn't that tough and doesn't have much in the way of defenses or self-heals. As long as there isn't a healer in his group (and there usually isn't. His group consists of 1 Jade construct, 1 Peacekeeper Enforcer, 1 Peacekeeper Marksman and 1 more random enemy), he'll go down fast. As long as he dies, the quest is complete, and wiping against his group afterwards isn't an issue. - Zaxares 12:02, 6 June 2010 (UTC)

Bug/Glitch?

Whenever I try to find Bauer in HM, his group doesn't spawn. I'm the party leader, I have the quest, and am taking some guild mates with me who haven't seen his other dialouge, but that shouldn't matter, right? Everytime I zone in from another portal other than Gates of Kryta, it still doesn't spawn him. Any idea what's going on? Carious the Bear 06:23, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

Stupid questions: Did all of your guild mates complete the requirements to enter the War in Kryta zones? Even one without the requirements (Completed Eye or Prophecies) will ruin this. Beyond that I don't know if there is another requirement that all members of the same party must share. I do know that not having the quest does not cause him to fail spawning for this quest. Bounty recurrence

i seriously want this to come up again for the bounty because i want to take my warr (i'm too lazy to do war in kryta stuff with my other chars) bring staff and mod one of my armor sets for energy and just spam flare while under there's not enough time. instant cast, no recharge. of course i'd be doing this in NM though because doing that would be a horrible idea in HM. Requirements
