Against the proposed move

Zaishen Menagerie properly redirects to the Zaishen Menagerie Grounds, since most people think that the first two words form the official name for the zoo. Most readers are better served by the current setup than using the official title for this article's title. Reaching the outpost for the first time

Last night, a few of us spent a lot of time helping newbie players to reach this outpost for the first time. It might be obvious to veterans, but it's obscure to players just starting out (or returning with a new toon after a long absence). The reason this came up is that new players (like many veterans) are excited about acquiring the new Hound of Balthazar and, although it's trivial (and obvious) how to get to Embark Beach to talk to Ceira, getting from EB to the zoo is a multi-step process that isn't obvious (or trivial).

In brief:

• You can reach Embark Beach by speaking to any Zaishen Scout.
• To reach the zoo, you have to unlock the Great Temple of Balthazar. This requires completing any of the relevant quests to unlock Campaign Travel for your character's native campaign.

Actually, to unlock the Great Temple of Balthazar your character has to first unlock a port city. Nightfall characters can unlock GToB the earliest since they have to unlock Kamadan, which they arrive at shortly after character creation. --Silver Edge 23:49, 26 April 2012 (UTC)

Getting There...How?

My friend says he can't get there...Bive (talk · contributions)

When your character has access to either Kaineng Docks, Kamadan or Lion's Arch, you will be able to travel to the Great Temple of Balthazar. From there, you can map-travel to the Menagerie. Paddymew 19:34, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

My friend has the same issue. He can travel to "The Great Temple of Balthazar" and "Lions Arch" but can't seem to get there. If you have an answer e-mail me at jester-n001@mymail.mssu.edu

I think this may be level related. I could get to Embark Beach on my level 3 Paragon having Kamadan unlocked, but the Menagerie wasn't on the map. At level 5, though, it is available now (tried this on two characters). I've only completed some side quests to get to level 5 (still on the first primary quest: Honing Your Skills which completes at level 5 but I haven't turned in). --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 99.28.229.150 (talk).
