Contradiction...

The Alkali Pan (in the north, near Vah the Crafty) .... Vah the Crafty is in the southern 'sandy' area of the Alkali Pan, which you can see on his own sub-page, not the north. Has anyone seen the bag for themselves in this zone, and if so... is it in a northern area or is it actually by Vah the Crafty? --GreyGhost 20:49, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

My guess is that whoever wrote this was facing Vah, and he looked on his radar map (not the U-map), the pack was above Vah and so 'north' (even though it would actually be, by the compass, in the southern part of the Alkali Pan); at least, this is what I hope happened (since I check near Vah often, and I would not want to be totally wasting my time)! I have brought many character thru the game and today was the 1st time it dropped for me. Its a white drop the wording should be slight north of Vah the crafty. When u look on the map crafty in in a sandy light brown area shaped like an egg apx. Mine was on the north egg of the egg. Walk the whole sandy area. Double clicking it does not activate what's the trick?~

The Shattered Ravines too

I was doing the quest Wayward Guide just now and found this Pack in the same clearing where the quest NPC Kane is having his little chat with the Margonites. It's the first time that I've ever spotted this item despite having passed a dozen characters through the Desolation, so it is pretty elusive. I've added the location to the parent page.
