Template talk:Armor art infobox
I think we need a way to set the width of the pictures in this template. With the male and female pictures needing different width, it really looks silly now on some pages. Like Assassin Shing Jea armor :P — Anja 04:04, 3 March 2007 (EST)
- There already is, just manually set the image. - BeXoR 07:42, 3 March 2007 (EST)
- Saw that it worked that way just after I wrote this.. forgot to edit :P Thanks anyway. — Anja 07:48, 3 March 2007 (EST)
Armor Bonus[edit]
the way the Armor bonus article is written, rune should appear beside insignia in the armor bonus category. either that or just remove the category because armor pieces have a slot for both a rune and an insignia and it's mentioned in numerous armor articles. whatever the outcome, insignias now need to be treated no differently than runes except when talking about max collector armor. --VVong|BA 14:25, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- The reason we include insignia in the article is because this was changed not too long ago, people might not be used to it yet. I agree that insignias should be treated somewhat as runes in the long run, but I think people should be given some time to get used to the new system first. Armor have always accepted runes (for very long, at least?), but insignia is kinda new. :) - anja (contribs) 14:31, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- Armor bonuses that are possible now include insignia (slot), attribute and basic. - BeX 03:07, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- but not rune (slot)? how is a rune any different than an attribute except it's removable? --VVong|BA 22:48, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
- All armor accepts runes, not all armor accepts insignia. - BeX 03:54, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
- Me and Bexor talked some and just came to the conclusion that we wont include either insignia or rune in this box. We will instead explain in the description when insignia is not applicable, and when the headgear has an attribute bonus. Was this how you meant from the start, Wongba? - anja (contribs) 10:00, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
- basically my suggestion was put runes here or remove the category. i was okay w/ either solution, but i think removing the category is the cleaner solution. --VVong|BA 15:05, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yea, the infobox is big as it is already, with the pictures. - anja (contribs) 15:07, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Add image icons to armor template[edit]
What I am missing are the inventory icons for the corresponding armor parts. They could be extracted out of gw.dat and uploaded. The problem is, i don't know how to programm a template. I could imagine that the chart could get 5 rows with male / female column, one for each armor peace. Approximately like that:
{{Armor art infobox | name = | profession = | campaign = | pvp = | femaleimage = | maleimage = | gallery = | head = [female image] <br> [male image] | chest = [female image] <br> [male image] | hands = [female image] <br> [male image] | legs =[female image] <br> [male image] | feet = [female image] <br> [male image] }}
—ZerphaThe Improver 16:56, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
- Personally, I don't think inventory icons provides any more valuable information. Why do you think they are needed, what do you gain from them? :) Would just like a clarification. - anja 17:03, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
- well, armor is always customized. But I still think its useable to know which inventory icon the Armor Peaces use. Until now, I was only able to see the icons several armor peaces if somebody had shown the peaces to me in the trade window. Some people are maybe also interested how it looks in the Inventory as well. Another use I thought it would be useful for is maybe to use these Icons for Userpages: There are Hero Icons which can be used to show which Heroes you have unlocked and which not. Similiar to this, it could be shown which Armor peaces you are wearing. Not everyone has a full set of the same armor, so these icons could make it more clear. (Would be shapelear than only text as well). Finally, information is information :) —ZerphaThe Improver 17:28, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
- I would suggest going to the item formatting page and requesting that inventory icons be provided for all items, including armor and weapons. I think they are very interesting, even if they aren't added to the main page, but a subpage or the gallery. Then also people can use them on their user pages and they can redirect to the crafting pages, etc. - BeX 00:43, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Height scaling[edit]
I think is better to ask here first.
I think the default scaling for armor images should be changed from 100px to x250px. This way the pictures will be scaled by height, so both(female and male) characters will have same height and it would remove the necesity to add extra scaling parameters on many armor pages. Example here. --Sharkinu 17:59, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
PvP reward category[edit]
I suggest a pvpreward parameter similar to the one in Template:Weapon infobox. The logical values would be 'Basic', 'Fancy', and possibly 'Starter' for armor sets available to PvP characters from the start. -- Kirbman 19:53, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
- Sounds like a good idea, though I think you would just use 'Basic' and 'Fancy' since the armor available at the start for pvp characters is still classified as basic... --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 20:44, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
- Basic rewards have to be bought though. If all weapon and armor skins are available as PvP skins (which I think they are now, aside from /bonus weapon skins) then we don't need a "Starter" classification to distinguish them from skins that are not available as PvP skins. I'll see what I can do about adding a pvpreward parameter though. -- Kirbman 17:26, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
- Uhg! The pvp armors are all buggy. Half of the stuff that's available as starter PvP armor is also in the Basic PvP rewards. So you can pay to upgrade to something you could already make as much as you want of for free. For example: Ranger Krytan armor. This makes no sense, I'm taking it to the support forums. -- Kirbman 02:19, 7 September 2011 (UTC)

Overview[edit]
How do I remove it when the images are redundant with the galleries? e.g. Yule Cap. Yoshida Keiji (talk) 07:51, 16 December 2012 (UTC)
Inconsistencies[edit]
I was attempting to correct the many inconsistencies among applications of this template, when I stopped to think "what went wrong here?" Is there a bot we can use to correct and unify all instances of this template, or do we have to correct them all by hand? The standard usage afaik should be:
{{Armor art infobox | profession = | campaign = | pvp = | pvpreward = | gallery = }}
Name should always be the default, right? Male and female options should have been automated by now, surely? Am I missing anything? Anyway, looking forwards to hear from the community. - Infinite - talk 15:41, 15 August 2017 (UTC)
- Upon closer inspection, I understand the need for the male (and probably female) name parameter, as it is the only way to specify height on those images. Can we not correct the images that are out of proportion compared to Emily Diehl's standard and automate the height on male and female images used by default? Tonnes of questions! - Infinite - talk 15:45, 15 August 2017 (UTC)
