Template talk:Manual description

This template makes baby Jesus cry... the manual is one of the most substantial sources of information we have on the game, and putting content in like people have been doing is fugly. The entire of this article is completely italic, and it looks awful. The manual was implemented fine on pages like Devona and Ascalon, and imo, it should stay that way. Just put {{arenanet article2}} on all articles that use manual content and you can't go wrong. --Santax (talk · contribs) 08:53, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- Another example. --Santax (talk · contribs) 09:23, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- Imo, those two are just examples of stubs, not examples on bad use of this template. I think this template is great, since it helps to give sources for things that is cited. I would prefer to know if a text is from the game manual, in game description or written by some user. - anja 09:26, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- But isn't that what {{arenanet article2}} is for? The haphazard implementation that's being practiced atm (argh!) is eye-burning. --Santax (talk · contribs) 09:37, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- That template isn't very informative. There is nothing there explaining what it means, until you go to the actual template page. (Which I guess, not most people would think about). It's just linking to GWW:Copyrights, without any firther explanations. I still prefer this template over no given source.
Oh, btw. That last link you gave have nothing to do with this template? - anja 09:40, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

- Is there a purpose to that template? Seems to me that most all material on the wiki is anet in origin. 09:46, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- I quite like the manual text template. It is quite unobtrusive. --Lemming 19:06, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
