Uh, you can't do that. =) --Rezyk 18:09, 22 March 2007 (EDT)
- What do you mean? LordBiro 18:24, 22 March 2007 (EDT)
- Perhaps you are right in this regard, Smurf. I wish Gem and Rezyk had been as clear :P I will remove the word "only". LordBiro 19:26, 22 March 2007 (EDT)
- Sorry, I would have explained more but wasn't sure if it'd be patronizing. Removing the "only" helps a lot but I suggest being even clearer whenever it comes to licensing. I could still see someone using this thinking that they are releasing only to GuildWiki. Consider full stop of the sentence after "released under CC-by-nc-sa" (but add the version number "2.0"). To mention GuildWiki, how about one of these instead?
- "This user's contributions are also released under cc-by-nc-sa 2.0. This allows use on GuildWiki."
- "I support GuildWiki and release my contributions under cc-by-nc-sa 2.0."

- Well, I can understand removing "only". But I think the text at present makes sense. Of course, if my contributions are released under the by-nc-sa license then they can be used by any by-nc-sa wiki (or any other source using this license). But the reason I am doing this is specifically for GuildWiki's use. If other sites want to use my work under this license then I can't stop them, but changing the text doesn't alter this.
- As for the version number, I don't think this is necessary in the text as it is made explicit in the link. LordBiro 05:37, 23 March 2007 (EDT)
- For your personal usage, I see no issue. I was presuming that this template might start to be used by other users, and for that I'd still advise spelling things out more clearly, but I'll leave it up to you. --Rezyk 18:00, 23 March 2007 (EDT)
- Well, if other users want to release their work for use on the GuildWiki as well I see no problem with this userbox. I just don't think there's much of a problem with it... It's very similar to the equivalent GFDL userbox on GuildWiki. LordBiro 18:15, 23 March 2007 (EDT)
- User and template categories? --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 12:15, 24 March 2007 (EDT)
- I was a bit unsure as to the proper categories for users and templates, so I figured that someone else would add them :) LordBiro 13:22, 24 March 2007 (EDT)
