Alice lost everything at the battle of Ascalon, as one of the last few survivors she made her way to the only place she could call home, The eye of the North, upon arrival she saw what she expected. nothing. it was deserted. The walked towards the Hall of Monuments, dark and dusty she made her way to the only light she could see. It seems the scrying pool had one last thing to show her, and with it she saw the terrible future of what was to come and was driven to edge of insanity by it, through the scrying pool she saw the end of everything. The Elder dragons. And she, became obsessed with preserving herself until she was needed again once more, she tossed aside any form of magic other than necromancy and ice magic. She hoped to preserve her body with Nevermelt ice, but this backfired accelerating her icebrood transformation. Her diary found in 1325 AE inside the depths of the Ascalon Catacombs spoke of these and even worse horrors, the book referenced the possibility of Alice still being "Alive" and referenced the Resurrection of her long dead child who died during the foefire, The diary indicated that the child was left in Kryta in 1318 AE and would be the Savior of all of Tyria. Her death was never recorded due to no body being found, and legend says that she still walks the earth during the time of guild wars 2. the legend (backed up by the diary) dictates that through vile unspeakable necromancy she transferred her soul into an object she had a close bond with, speculation says that this could of been her mothers pendant, the engagement ring given to her by her long dead lover, her legendary staff "Hawkheart" or worst of all, her own child.
