Unfortunately My time in guildwars came to a disastrous end in the fact that both my accounts were simultaneously hacked by gold sellers and cleaned out. I only found out they were hacked after coming back from time away and not being able to login. So I waited a few more days thinking it was an issue with the login servers, but I still couldnt login.
Contacting NCsoft support proved to be an utter waste of time. They explained to me that they had blocked my account after they had detected that my account had been hacked and used for selling/buying gold & I asked if it was possible to have my account restored as I did spend a lot of hours farming noobs in JQ and AB. They said it was against there policy to restore peoples accounts... So thats just fucking great. I spend over 5k hours in guildwars farming AB, JQ and dungeons for all my elite armours, and hi-end equipment that cost well in excess of 100k each not to mention all my stacks of ectos and other mats that were also stolen and they tell me they cant restore my account?? they can run through the entire history of my account and seen that never has my character once acted 'bot-like' as I have ALWAYS been behind the keyboard whilst online except when im leeching boardwalk and other special events so I go afk. So why the fuck am I being punished for all my hard work and time spent ingame when the hacker is probably still out there hacking more accounts and getting away with it???
After much heated debate with NCsoft support. I eventually told the motherfucker to take Gw2 and stuff it up his ass. Botting/hacking has long since been a problem with Gw and if my account gets hacked and cleaned out because of NCsoft/A-net's incompetence and inability to design a more secure login, then I will not help fund them in their up coming titles and future endevours. Not only did I spend money on TWO accounts that both got hacked, I spent money on their limited edition costumes as I thought they looked pretty cool at the time.
Their stance needs to change, not just for me but for all the honest players out there whose accounts get hacked.... Its not like we told the hackers to target us so why are we being punished?? NCsoft will not restore your account to any level or at least Compensate you for EVERYTHING you lost so you can get back on the road.
guildies stepped in and offered me some cash to help get me back on my feet....I thank them for their kindness but 100k is like a small drop in the ocean compared to the full value of my entire account before it was hacked and I have just come too far to just go back to having nothing.
With much bitterness and sadness in my heart I bid goodbye to guildwars which has easily been the game that I have ever spent the most hours in. Pitty my account got hacked right before the big 6th Anniversary...I will never get to see how beautiful the game looked with the new textures.
Till this day I am still bitter about the whole thing and everytime I talk about it, part of my heart breaks because I was so addicted and in love with the game that became my home for many hours after a long day at work.
even though I was adament about not going GW2, my heart still crys to be returned to it and the idea of going Gw2 has never been far from the back of my mind, I am still debating the idea with myself. No doubt when it comes close to release day it will be decided between a coin toss.

Dying Oblivion - My Survivor Necro V.2 since the first one died - mainly used for solo farming, maybe some JQ & AB every so often. I Matt Damon I -- One of my favorite chars that was created as part of a joke - probably my second favorite class. Belladonna Imperia -- My #2 Ele after I deleted my old one about a year ago due to frustration of being assa food. probably the last char I will ever make so I decided to name her properly :) Traumatised Monk -- my first monk that was neglected for a good year or so since i was so shit scared about being bitched at when people died lol.

What I care for most as a Guildwars player
Im a very simple man... all i want is Weapons & Armour. Ive already lost count of how many bows, daggers, swords, Axes & Shields I have. most of my chars have at least 2-4 sets of elite armour with my mesmer topping the scale with his obsidian armour complete with chaos gloves
Random Thoughts & Rants About Guildwars
One of the biggest problems in GW is Bots, and probably the worse kind of bots to come across are the PvP ones that farm JQ non stop. as they directly effect the game that players join and most of the time make the game very unfair for players who are unlucky enough to load in with with 3-4 bots. Ever since I stopped doing activities with the previous alliance I have pretty much spent my whole year doing nothing but JQ and the odd PvE trip with friends or guildies. And I have witnessed the bot population in JQ EXPLODE overnight. The bot problem didnt just grow over a gradual period. There were always bots in JQ anyway but they were so few and far inbetween. you could go for 10 or 20 games and not even have 1 bot load in with the team. Anet Claims to have banned 3700+ accounts for botting/misuse or bad behaviour. but it hardly shows. the bot population are still thriving In JQ. I think Anet must of went after the PvE Farming bots instead of the PvP farming bots. but theres been a lot of speculation and finger pointing going around saying that Anet deliberately PLANETED those bots in JQ, for what reason i dont know. I do know that they are a menice and they are a big fucking problem because there only seems to be LOADS of bots on the luxon side. rarely do you get a bot on the Kurzick side. Now I have voiced my complaints and suggested that a handful of responsible players get made GMs or at least have 1 or 2 GMs moderate JQ for a short period of time and clean out the trash because the game is just so fucking infested with these things its laughable. If GMs joined for a few games of JQ they will see what a state the luxon side of JQ is in. I'l probably be switching to FA once all my ZQ's are complete because I have no faith in Anet that anything will be done and they can just keep giving people bogus reports about how they banned botting accounts. HELL theres a bot that farms Ran Musu Gardens. me and group of friends reported that bot 2 YEARS AGO - T W O - Y E A R S - A G O - and its still there.
I have given up reporting them, its a waste of time as nothing gets done. same thing goes for people with accounts that Leech in JQ Players like 'Moon Bleeding' and 'Stone Dead Chakram' THEY ARE ALWAYS PVP HEXED theyve had more fucking PvP hexes then my 90y.o grandmars had hot dinners but FUCK ME they are still there right as fucking rain still leechin off peoples games next to the bots who are actually somewhat more useful.
And thats why I am not going to buy into GW2. I have no faith in Anet to keep the game as bot free as possible.
THERE ARE THINGS THEY COULD DO TO FIX THE PROBLEM BUT THEY AINT DOING IT.
