Event Tips If you are planning to run an event, READ THESE TIPS. Make sure you're planning is good. Why not check it with me, or someone else who you know has run an event? Use the major forums to your advantage. If you are planning an event, tell them, see if they like the idea. If they do, go for it! Try and get people to help you run these events. Being in an event guild/alliance also helps. Use every forum you know. If you think thats enough, YOURE WRONG. Look on wiki event pages. They have links to threads about their event. Sign up to these forums and use them. Logo. Not extremely important, but helps event recognition. Donations-Every event needs donations, so publicising it helps. You might want to post your planning on a forum in a planning thread to help get the event noticed even more. Blade Radio. Every event people needs them. Ok, i dont have a good history with them, but they have Daniel Frozenwind. I mean, he has run over 20 events. That experience is some you have to have. And also they are very rich, and they play great music, so you have to get them in for an event. Be careful with large giveaways. DO NOT giveaway 100k in one big batch. This is because you account will be locked for 72 hours. Anet rule. Tell the person who has won you will do it in small batches so they dont get all funny. Also beware of giving away really rare minipets and rare stuff. If you want to be certain you wont get banned, talk to someone like Regina or Gaile, tell them that you will need to be able to give away this amount of money/rare item. Need any more help? Use my talk page, with links to event planning, and i'll try and help! Event 1-Pirate Weekend Well, i woke up, logged on and found i had missed Pirate Day. So, with all those amazing people at Anet allowing us to get some grog and making everyone speak pirate language, i decided to teach everyone how to be a pirate. I did sessions in Kamadan first, Great temple of Balthazar, and 2 big ones in Lions Arch. I got rid off a storage box of golds for all those pirates who passed (Because Pirates need treasure) and we had some great fun. Thanks to The Night Riader for being very supportive and attending all 4 rallies. Great fun though. Conga throughout the town, sync dancing, massive band, drowning.Would have been better if i had farmed some grog though, i admit. Thanks to all in Europe District 1 of Lions Arch, Kamadan and Great temple of Balthazar on that day! Over all 2 days, i gaveaway like 150 golds to budding people in this event, making this my biggest event yet! Thanks to all who came and stole my golds, i still want my clothes back from those thiefs though! Event 2-Great Dwayna rally Help to the hopeless was the theme of this event. General Freebies led a rather large crowd through a snowball training course-ARMY STYLE! This district practised evasive manourvers, motivational shouts, charging and many more exercises. Then, they put their new found skills to the test in snowball arena fights. Overall, a successful event! Event 3-Council Matters The Council of Elders in peril. Elder Skruuj, the cranky old Grenth supporter, released a new bill, which, if passed on, forbids any Istani interaction with Dwayna, plunging Istan into an eternal winter. Luckily, Elder Freebies rallied a host of supporters to remove Elder Skruuj from the Council. Event 4-King Frost's Seasons End The last event created by Frozenwind, before he becomes an event assistant. How coulc i turn down this offer to be a staff member? I mean, I know its only a gamble table operator, but its a gamble table operator at a Daniel Frozenwind event. I mean, how could anyone turn this offer down?
