Chadarian grew up to be a talented and promising magician, specialized at controlling and understanding the four elements. He used his powers wherever needed; fertilizing the soil, strengthening the Great Northern Wall with Earth; creating rain incase of drought with Water; conjuring winds to move objects and help the windmills with Air; bring warmth with Fire in the cold of winter.
He enjoyed life, living with his wife in a small cottage on the outskirts of Ashford. Although he thought of the threat the Charr posed from time to time, it didn't trouble him for long. The Wall would keep them safe.
He was on his way home to his beloved wife and newborn daughter when the Searing struck. A crystal from the sky landed on their cottage in front of his eyes, completely demolishing it. In rage and sorrow he screamed out his defiance and ran towards the ruins, but he was of course too late. He was found by a search party desperately digging through the shambles. His eyes were wide open and his body completely covered in dirt apart from the trails in his face left by his tears. He was brought to what became the Sardelac Sanitarium and cared for until his powers were required at Fort Ranik, two years later. Up to this date he had been in apathy, occasionally found curled up in a corner of his room, crying. Although his condition was improving, his mind was still in turmoil. After a failed suicide attempt he was kept under constant guard, for his own safety. During the mission at Fort Ranik he changed. All the rage he had kept hidden for the past two years was unleashed; the Charr stood little chance. They were crushed by large boulders, hit by sharp pieces of ice, struck by lightning, engulfed in flames. Chadarian's one purpose was now to revenge his dead wife and daughter. But no matter how many Charr that fell before him there was no end to them, and the satisfaction faded.
When Rurik left Ascalon for Kryta Chadarian, who yet again cared little for anything in life, was convinced to follow. He was told not to grief over what was lost but to look to the future and how he could make it worth living in. Although the words had little impact on him it gave him something to do, so he travelled with the caravan and helped defend them from the many dangers of the Shiverpeaks.
The Chadarian in Kryta is a bitter and depressed person, with the occasional outbursts of rage. He dwells in the past and has started drinking heavily. People aviod him, apart from his old caretaker.
