About Chris Jace[edit]
Chris Jace is an Ascalonian by birth, born to two monks in Ashford Abbey. Taught in the arts of healing and protection from childhood, he first became noticed after helping defend Ashford Abbey from attacking undead, by healing the smiters. He later joined the Ascalon Academy. However, he was a pacifist, and refused to fight unless he had no other option. Here, he met Sarith Daemonblood. By his nature kind and forgiving, Chris didn't seem to mind that his best friend was part demon. The two later joined the Ascalon Army, and eveything seemed to be going well. Then came the Searing....

Story[edit]
Chris sighed. They had come to Kryta to escape the Charr, they had come to Cantha to escape the undead, but in Cantha they had found the worst horror of all. Afflicted. It was like the undead, but worse. With undead, at least the soul was free, even if the body was enslaved. With Afflicted, even the soul was corrupted. And here came more of them. Time to decide what was right...
As he got ready to face the approaching Afflicted, Sarith was surprised to see Chris draw a wand out of his pack. "I thought you were a pacifist, I'm surprised you even have one of those" he said. Chris looked at him, with sorrow clear on his face. "There are some things that even I am moved to kill. These afflicted- their very soul is corrupted by whoever is doing this. Killing them is a kindness in this case, at least then they can be free."
And so they fought.

Religion[edit]
Chris Jace believes in equality of all species and races. Therefore, when he heard about the Melanktion Gods from a passing missionary, he almost instantly decided to begin worshiping them. However, unlike many of the followers of the Melanktion Gods, Chris still worships the Old Gods with equal fervour, thus he's been rejected and outcast from Kashgarsh and will be killed on sight.
