FrostSByte The player

FrostSByte is the virtual name of a gamer located in Eastern Canada. Guild Wars is a game he keeps returning to, the only MMORPG he's ever truly enjoyed (sorry GW2, but no). He plays games online and offline but less then in his prime. He hopes to play Guild Wars 1 for many years still.

Main Characters

Frost S Byte

Frost S Byte started as a paladin W/Mo and ended up having various secondary professions for the purpose of unlocking skills for PvP. The main secondary in use is currently Dervish because of an Onslaught build.

Fighting Style
• Wields mainly a Sword and shield. (previously an Icon +6 Energy in stead of Shield)
• Combines Adrenaline, speed and Energy to keep damage constant.
• tanks, compared to warriors who hide behind casters.

Yun Chung Lee

Yun Chung Lee was made approximately two months after the release of Guild Wars. Due to the lack of players playing monk, Frost decided to try this class to solve his and his friends needs. Ironically this class type ended up being one of his favored ones. Trough Yun Chung Lee many thankful players have acknowledge skilled healing in Frost play style.

Healing Style
• Mostly uses PvP builds.
• Uses a tetris mentality, always thinking about whats going to be used next for what.
• Punishes careless players by absence of healing (without warning), not used frequently.

Zephanie Byte

Zephanie Byte was created & played with during the guild wars beta test. Rangers are a favored class for Frost in PvE& PvP. Zephanie's pet's name is Bacon it's a level 20 Warthog

Fighting Style
• interrupts and uses many Condition.
• Pulls targets and encourages this play style in pubs.
• Loves to engage into 1vs1 play but withdraws when defeat is clear.

History

• Frost played GW on and off from Beta until approximately Nov 2012 - Afterwards there was a hiatus from the game where he returned on and off. Since 2018-2022 he's been more active in Guild Wars 1.

• Frost S Byte bought Guild Wars Beta key at a EBgames Store with a friend, not knowing anything of it, to his surprise ended up being one of his favorite games.

• The Warrior was the first character created on the players account during Beta, knowing names were reserved Frost Byte needed to be acquired, but the name was taken, so a S for a middle name was inserted. The S stand for Steven and has been a permanent part of the players name since.

• All campaigns where purchased upon release or soon afterward.

Guilds

• Guild 1 - "Salammbo Mercenaries" was founded in Prophecies with two other friends. (closed)
• Guild 2 - "Guardian of Tyria" founded with approximately five friends.
• Guild .5 - Joined a few different guilds and looked around in search for some PvP
• Guild 3 - Returned to the "Guardian of Tyria" till it was disbanded. (closed)
• Guild 4 - "Girls gone wild" lead by PVP Ranger, a PvP guild which merged into another. (closed)

• Guild 5 - "Organized Chaos" was founded with a friend, unsuccessful (closed)
• Guild 6 - "Guardian du Lys" joined PvE, PvP guild, left in discontent. (closed? not sure)
• Guild 7 - "Guardians of the Light" joined / PvEers & PvPers fought and guild collapsed (closed)
• Guild 8 - "Legend of Pi" - PvP, left because lack of discipline and maturity. (?)
• Guild 9 - "Empire of Heroes" - Joined October 13th 2007. French Guild with 18+ Members (closed)

Current Guild:

• Guild 10 - "Another one Bytes the Dust" is a personal guild created to for the soul purpose to access Alliance_battles.

PvP

• Since the release of guild wars, all forms of PvP have been played by Frost.
• Never really got into a PvP guild which lasted.
• Been trying to get a hero rank since first saw an HoH emote.
• Keeps a slot always ready to make a PvP character for any competition need.

Goals Reached

• Unlocking all content.
• Becoming a Ally of the Kurzicks (4). This rank was well exceeded.
• Finishing all the main Campaigns and Expansion GWEN
• Having one of each character class or in PvE or PvP to play with.

Trivia

• Three Character slot where acquired after 3 years of play. Other slots where bough some time after.
• Sierra la fleure first a PvE character, after consideration was deleted and became a permanent PvP character.
• Yun Chung Lee was a random name found on the internet movie database www.imdb.com.
• Ryoko Hirosue (Assasin) is actually the name of the actress in the movie Wasabi (2001)
• Tracy Jordan PvP Ritualist was inspired by Tracy Morgan's character in 30 Rock the TV series
• Hitomi the Slayer, was supposed to be named after Hitomi Tanaka but the name was already taken. The character was mostly made to reserve the name for a guild wars 2 norm, but the endeavor was deluded and since new idea names for GW2 characters are being considered. The character was kept.

Guild Wars 2

Guild Wars 2 wasn't what Frost had expected, he played it most from launch during the first year, but from 2014 onward he goes to it rarely.
