Yes, I have some networking abilities and it was fairly easy to trace him back. Most likely, he'll get a warning from his ISP by email or phone. Some ISPs will demand a reply or cut off your internet access if they do not receive one, others will simply leave it at a warning. However, 90% of ISPs only give one warning, and after that it's time to have a chat to determine when and if your internet access is to be restored. Ghosst • Talk • 19:21, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

Hello, i just read your comment on Burning Freebies talk page, you stated that it was coming from somewhere near (town and ISP omitted because the little vandal doesn't like it when he's revealed), The frightning thing is thats exactly where i live and the service i use. Having enough respect for your fellow man not to ruin their creations, their work, or their property obviously is something some people only learn through painful experience. In my world, it's Sir and M'am. He's also on dial-up or shutting his modem off long enough for the DHCP to forget him so blocking the IP wouldn't do any good. Talking to his ISP would, and I'm within my rights to mention that little fact to Freebies. You'd be amazed a what a person of knowledge could do with your IP address, especially when you annoy them. Any action of that magnitude would have to be a community decision (perhaps even an ArenaNet decision, if it includes legal action) - it's not a light decision one can take by oneself. You get a warning when editing that your IP address will be posted if you're not logged in. There is no useful purpose in his edits, calling Freebies names and ruining his page is not useful, constructive or helpful. It's not up to ArenaNet, it's up to his ISP and the terms of his User Agreement. If privacy was gigantic concern, IP addresses wouldn't be posted. Ghosst • Talk •

It may indeed be that his edits are not useful, but as I said, it's not a decision that you or Burning Freebies should take by yourselves - if the community wants to tell ISPs their customers are editing userpages on an open-edit wiki about a game, the community will do so. That discussion would most likely require ArenaNet approval as it's their servers and their legal policies. Until then, it shouldn't happen. New Character template

Ok, here's my personal feedback. While I like your new character template, the 1000px fixed width is too wide for a lot of viewers, including me. The wiki in general is optimized for 1024x768 viewing, and having your template at 1000px wide creates a scroll bar that is just annoying, meaning I will not be visiting often. -- Wyn 23:57, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

Well, it doesn't really work that way, as it would mean changing your userbox page to a 3 wide, instead of a 4 wide. I tend to stay with a percentage width, rather than a fixed pixel width. I mean, at 100%, it's going to fill the page at whatever res it's being viewed at. -- Wyn 00:15, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

There you go, you were just missing a closing brace ( }} ) at the end of the page. Just remember that when you edit a page, if you "open" a set of commands with a double brace ( {{ ), you always have to have a closing set of braces ( }} ) for the command or it won't work. Cleaning

Image cache

Just a quick fyi in regards to this edit summary but the cache will generally fix itself on it's own after a short time usually in the range of 10-15 minutes but sometimes it can take up to an hour to actually show up. If it hasn't updated after an hour it may require you to clear your local cache using CTRL + F5 as well as possibly clicking the clock at the top of the page to purge the cache. This is usually only required to be done on the actual image page but sometimes on the page it is used on as well. --Kakarot 17:29, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
