Merch'ing

Either the Trade Channel (TC) or the Party Search PS), but not both. Both means you see an ambrace for 100k in PS only to find out the full TC ad was WTS ambrace 100k + 22e.

If the TC, then all districts need to be able to see it. Heck, why not everyone in any district listening to the TC can see it? (think of it like short wave.) Why must I be in Kamadan to buy something from someone in-game whose selling? But it also must be WTS or WTB only. Stricter enforcment of duplication and extraneous characters in the ad.

If PS, then there really should be a Trade tab, and for trades, who cares about Party Size, Profession of seller, or whether their in HM or NM? Even better (with the saved screen estate) have two columns, buying and selling. When I merch, the PS window dominates my screen together with the chat window, so there's enough space for 2 columns.

Even better than any of the above would be the ability to have a feed (IDK, say XML?) of current WTx's. Then developers like myself could write application add-ons that would customize the merchanting experience. Far too people do merchanting, and fail to understand how a little time invested in it can lead to so many things...better weapons, armor, etc... It wouldn't suprise me if much of the player community never even knew they could buy or sell to other humans as opposed to merchants in outposts.

Besides, if I had a feed (and a way to interact with the trading community in-game outside of sitting in an outpost) I could continue to play while merch'ing. Anet, you give us a way to programmatically see the data in the TC or PS and permission to use (not abuse) it and we'll figure it out!
