The wiki is public, and therefore pretty much anyone's business - particularly when you seem to be doing something that is possible to get banned for. Even if you were given permission, to what purpose would those edits serve? All they would do is a) clog RC and b) Potentially cause an issue like the one we are in now. Edits to other people's userpage should only be constructive. I'm advising you, not telling you, to stop. They might be your friend, and you might be in their friends list, and you might have believed some picture of a cat to be a genuine reason to edit another's page, but in answer to your question YES. We would need a line of text somewhere on the page that just says something like "The following users can edit my page freely" or similar. If she doesn't want to put that then I assume she doesn't want you editing your page! I don't know that your friend agreed to it. You might have it as an inside joke but please keep it to the talk pages! This kind of situation causes unnecessary arguments and results in a pointless debate. The bottom line is that you edited another user's page without visible permission, which is not allowed.
