Preface[edit]
Typical rupt ranger bar. RA version
Skill bar[edit]
Pin Down | Magebane Shot | Distracting Shot | Apply Poison | Natural Stride | Mending Touch | Lightning Reflexes | Resurrection Signet |
Attributes[edit]
- 13 Expertise (11+1+1)
- 11 Marksmanship (10+1)
- 11 Wilderness Survival (10+1)
- 3 Protection Prayers
14 Expertise is commonly used too, for better energy management, consider a different attribute spread or the use of a Major Rune along with Fortitude mods on bows and Survivor Insignias on Head and Feet.
Variants[edit]
- Blackout instead of Mending Touch (14 expertise, 10 Marksmanship, 10 Wilderness, 6 Domination Magic)
- Debilitating Shot instead of Pin Down
- Leech Signet instead of Lightning Reflexes
- Remove Hex for Mending Touch
- Hunter's Shot for bleeding spread and faking faking.
Equipment[edit]
- Stalwart Insignias (+10 versus physical damage)
- Vitae Runes
- Crippling Recurve Bow of Fortitude
- Poisonous Recurve Bow of Shelter (main set)
- Poisonous Longbow of Shelter
- Poisonous Spear of Fortitude + Shield of Fortitude (+10 vs Slashing, Piercing or Blunt, keep in inventory)
Usage[edit]
- Interrupt damage spells, bad hexes, healing spells and things like that depending on the situation
- Interruption sequence should optimally be magebane>dshot>magebane
- Rez control (don't fall for fakes)
- Spread poison after interrupting important skills
- Use Natural Stride to get closer to a target you plan to interrupt, as a block stance or an as anti-interrupt for your apply poison (doesn't always work so faking is to be considered when needed)
- Use Lightning Reflexes as a block stance or a quick poison spread
- Keep Apply Poison up as much as possible
- Cripple whatever could be annoyed by being crippled.
- Make wise use of Magebane's unblockable property (it goes through Shield Bash)
