  • I joined Guild Wars on 22 September 2007
  • So far I've played over 400 hours over last 3 months
  • I've created quite a few characters but play mostly 1 (Mel)
  • Created my own guild: Charr Broiled Bad Guy Barbecue
  • I have the following on my account:
    • Guild Wars Platinum Edition (Guild Wars + Eye of the North)
    • Factions campaign
    • Nightfall campaign
    • Minipet Destroyer of Flesh (PC Gamer) -- a gift from my husband, thank you!
    • Minipet Fungal Wallow --bought from another player. It's so ugly it's cute!
    • Minipet Thorn Wolf --also bought from another player. And again, in the ugly but cute category.
    • Minipet Black Moa Chick --YAAAYYYY!!! I worked hard to get the chick, and thrilled to have it finally.
    • GW Bonus Mission Pack

1. Melanie Virtuosa

  • Sunspear Castellan
  • Have a pet Black Moa named Boobee
  • (Said goodbye to pet Melandru's Stalker named Mia)
  • (Said goodbye to pet flamingo named Fluffy)
  • Created Melanie to try out Nightfall campaign. Now she's my favorite character. Armor maxed at 80, so she's pretty tough, on a par with Warriors but prettier. She now has elite sunspear armor and looks great, but I haven't posted a picture yet.

2. Jennah Silverwing (DELETED)

  • First character I created in GW, played her quite a bit. However:
    • The stronger armor she wears now is kinda ugly.
    • Elementalist doesn't seem very strong, I usually use all Necro skills
  • Haven't gone back to playing her in a long time, just don't like elementalist, they're awfully weak. So I've deleted this character.
  • However, because she was my character when I created the Guild, her name is still on every Guild announcement etc. I can't seem to change it to Melanie.

3. Jeanna Quicksilver

  • Prophecies
  • Level 12
  • Pet Melandru's stalker named Cattrina
  • I like the Ranger / Mesmer combo, but the Ranger just doesn't give enough 'punch' for me. I may consider deleting this character as well.









4a. Sonja Darling

  • Elementalist DELETED
  • PvP
  • Haven't played Sonja very much. She gets smashed in the battles. I need more practice. And the elementalist seems weak. May delete her and choose a different profession for a PvP.

4b. Sonja Darling

  • Paragon DELETED
  • PvP
  • I got tired of Sonja getting killed, so decided to change to Paragon. But she still gets killed.  : )

4c. Sweet Sonja Darling

  • Mesmer
  • Prophecies
  • Level 2
  • I just created her to keep my daughter's character company in pre-Searing. Decided to try out mesmer. My PvP Sonja Darling was just a waste since I just can't get interested in PvP but salvaged the name (part of it) for my new character.

5. Meenah Bizarre

  • Assassin
  • Factions
  • Level 5
  • Wanted to try out a character in Factions,
  • So far I'm not as fond of Factions as I am of Nightfall, will probably return to this character later.

6. Brutana Bloodslingr

  • Warrior
  • Nightfall
  • Level 5
  • Wanted to try out a Warrior, see what the melee fighting is like
  • I love her name!

7. Mirabella Von Blood

  • Necromancer
  • Factions
  • Level 3
  • Wanted to try out the Necro / Mesmer combo
  • In other campaigns the Necros are ugly, in Factions they're cool

8. Scythaira The Fair

  • Dervish
  • Nightfall
  • Level 7
  • My newest character. I wanted to try out the Dervish.

9. Holy Vengeance Girl

  • Monk
  • Prophecies
  • Level 9
  • Another character I created to run around with my daughter. I like her.

10. Mystra Spiritcaller

  • Ritualist
  • Factions
  • Level 3
  • Another brand-new character, haven't tried playing her much.

Favorite Professions[edit]

  1. Powerful Fighters:
    1. Paragon
      1. They are beautiful characters
      2. They have armor comparable to Warriors
      3. They pack a good punch with the spears
      4. The shouts etc. work well
      5. They are natural leaders, making them a natural choice for a player that's a control freak  : )
    2. Warrior
      1. They're strong and have strong armor
      2. CON: They're kinda ugly and usually have ugly armor
      3. They survive well
    3. Dervish
      1. I'm just now trying out a Dervish and so far I like her
      2. They can be very strong, both with their scythe weapon and with spells
      3. It was a Dervish that took my character to Droknar's Forge. Wow could that character survive everything!
    4. Assassin
      1. A good fighter but not as strong as Warrior or Paragon
      2. They look cool
  2. Other Professions:
    1. Necromancer
      1. Most powerful of the 'Other' class
      2. Very powerful especially because of Bone Horrors, Bone Minions, Shambling Horror etc.
      3. Tend to be very ugly characters unless created in Factions campaign
    2. Ranger
      1. Very nice damage from a distance, but not too impressed with them
      2. I love the pets
      3. CON: Sometimes a pet you expect to be a powerful fighter turns Playful (every pet I've had has turned Playful. Sigh.)
    3. Elementalist
      1. Not too impressed with their survivability in battles
      2. But I like them for secondary skills
    4. Mesmer
      1. Haven't played except for secondary skills
      2. Not too impressed with survivability
    5. Ritualist
      1. Haven't played one much yet but want to get some experience, their spirits can pack a punch in the right circumstance
    6. Monk
      1. Haven't played one much yet and like it, but kinda worried as they don't seem very strong
      2. Love to have more than one Monk in party for their healing abilities


Goals[edit]

  1. Save platinum for a Guild Hall--have.
  2. Upgrade to Factions and Nightfall - already have Eye of the North. -- have.
  3. Return to pre-Searing with Jeanna or another character and explore some more. -- have.
  4. Create another character that's Necromancer / Mesmer--have.
  5. Format this page a little nicer and include some pics of my characters --getting there.
  6. Find the way for characters to move to Eye of the North or other campaigns.--have.
  7. Take Melanie to Sunspear Castellan.--have.
  8. Find out how to get elite skills.--have.
  9. Add more NPCs to Guild Hall.--have.
  10. Get armor 80 for Melanie.--have.
  11. Get prestige armor for Melanie. --Have. Got elite sunspear and sunglasses.
  12. Capture more elite skills.--I've captured a few Paragon elites.
  13. Add more skills / armor / better weapons to Heroes.--working on it. Koss has elite armor.
  14. Complete more missions at Master level.--getting there. More than halfway in Proph.
  15. More exploring, more titles.--working on it. Over 60% in Elona, others getting close
  16. Scavenger Hunt for minipet moa chick.--got it! YAAAAY!!. She's so cute.
