Dialogue[edit]
Initial dialogue[edit]
- Lonai
- "Welcome back, [Character Name]! It feels like forever since you were here, starting your great heroic tale of god-conquering. It's this exact reason why I called you back. Some ominous things have happened since you left, in the Jahai Bluffs. An odd gate spawned out of the ground, akin to an Asuran gate. But it's strange. A few men in battle-magi like robes have stepped out of it, and there they have stayed for a while.
- Will you visit this strange gate and talk to the men there?
- Accept: "Sounds easy enough. I'm on it."
- Decline: "The last time I went near something like that, I was shoved into a realm of madness and torment. Pass."
- When asked about quest: I can't think of anyone better to send for this... diplomatic mission.
Intermediate dialogue[edit]
- Vanguard Agent
- "You there! You look like someone whose taken down a God or two. (He laughs)."
- What of it?
- Vanguard Agent: "You see, we have a slight problem. We serve a different God of Madness named Matthias Swan. Most of the time, he leads his legions fine. Despite his aspect of madness, he can be a sane and understanding person. However, his mind is fragmented. Every few hundred years or so, give or take, he 'snaps', as you say. This causes an annoyingly difficult problem that generally takes years to fix. Most of our operations take place in realms that are branches of his very mind. And when his mind fractures and breaks, so does our ability to function as an army. So go on, tell your people of this, and return to me. There is much we must do."
Reward dialogue[edit]
- Lonai
- Thanks for coming back and telling me this. This is potentially important. You should probably return to these agents and see if there's anything you can do to solve this problem. As I've said, I can't think of anyone better.
