Bullying (Discussion)[edit]
We need a way to deal with bullies. In the real world a person being bullied rarely comes forward because of fear. The same happens in GW. But it gets to where a bully is dragging down the GW experience of people who know the victim. I understand the games policy of they can't do anything if the victim does not report, but we need an alternate solution, that helps others getting the residual effects. Yes ignore lists are in place, but bullies have strangers pm threats for them. Money talks i guess. Characters are given names to intimidate the victim, and ruin the experience of the victims friends.
- Why this is a good idea
- Bullies are a reality and need to be dealt with. I would suggest a three strike policy on reports from others , not just the victim. But i am sure that would be abused.
- How can people possibly be expected to develop a persecution complex if they're actually being persecuted?
- Why it may not work out
- Solution in need of a problem, ie, doesn't solve anything.
- Also, Ignore list.
- Would reduce fun for many players who enjoy bullying.
