Language-specific chat filter (Discussion)[edit]
It seems like there have been a significant number of words that are getting censored due to meaning something obscene in some other language. For example, the word "bite" gets censored because it means something obscene in French. Seriously, this is ridiculous. 10 languages should not have to bend over backward just because 1 language considers a word offensive.
Last time I checked, Build Wars has an option to select language, amirite? Suggestion: Change the filtered words based on language, that way we can actually speak English without speakers of other languages crying foul and reducing our language to gobbledygook.
- Why this is a good idea
- I would like to speak english, not gobbledygook reduced to dashes just because someone on the other side of the planet speaking some obscure language thinks I'm using bad language.
