GW IS DEAD?

GW is dead right now in 2010, no one plays it, so :( .  But HOPEFULLY, JUST HOPEFULLY... GW2 will have tons of members.

I never even bought GW1, and Im buying it right now to hold off until GW2 comes out. So excited for GW2...

BUT PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU! GW IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUN, AND WITH YOUR HELP, WORLD, WE CAN RISE UP AND GET ENOUGH MEMBERS TO BEAT WoW!!!! <3

I'm going to have to go with Pariah on this one. It's true that a lot of people have recently quit Guild Wars, but there are always going to be people who play and people who start. Regardless who leaves, there will always be some "good" players who remain and some new players who will achieve being a "good" player. It all evens out in the end. GW is not dead, just because you can't find things to occupy your time with a game that's bursting at the seams with activity doesn't mean the rest of us can't. My guild has doubled in size recently and our alliance has grown as well. We are more active than ever and we never run out of things to do. You just need to look outside your box and try something besides perma farming and you will see the game has plenty to offer. see my first comment, GW is a game build around PvP. it used to be a skill based game but there is so much griefing in it today. everything can be done easily and the actual good players are leaving because of it. this is why GW is dead, not about the PvE population InfestedHydralisk 17:52, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

Those stats just go to show people are mindless sheep and will buy into whatever the market tells them to. I'm never gonna pay to play a game that I already bought again, especially one so sub-par and juvenile as WoW. Runescape wasn't too bad, just not my thing. I can see it from both sides really, I have noticed that certain districts are becoming a bit baron, for example the English-European Districts have become very quiet and there is not usually people on there. However It doesn't meant that guild wars is Dying. It could be possible that because of the resession in players in a certain district all other players have moved to another district, in this case we'll use America as an example, Which is always busting with players and where you would normally find No-One you can almost certainly find at least one person in each outpost. I think it's just a case of people following the crouds and so smaller districts have moved onto bigger districts for activity. So... No Guild Wars certainly Isn't dying, though i do agree many people are leaving the game and ceasing to take part and simply following Stats and marketing to join other games such as WoW, which is no means better than Guild Wars and I have seen it with my own eyes. Sure WoW may have a few more cool features such as animals to ride on... But just wait till GW2 i'm sure that will make up for lost features and will probably go 1 better too.--user:Coopz121

Yeah is very busy and i see new players everyday, anyway WOW (nothing wow to be about for me) has many players as many followed Britney Spears and that never equals she was good singer right???,Anyway i bet GW1 will be continue being played even after GW2 comes out just like runescape is still being played, people realizes good things with time. And i agree paying to play a game you already bought is really dumb. I see it like paying to watch a DVD you already bought is stup.... anyway i will be here in GW1 even after the 2 came out they are totaly different system games. Infested's claims of death are based solely on his belief that GW is built around PvP, which may have been how it started, but that changed a long time ago, basically when Anet stopped offering real life rewards for tournament play. It is alive and kicking butt for PvE players who are not nearly as concerned with skill balance. He's just whining because he thinks he's too good for PvE. -- Wyn talk 05:35, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
