one of you character names is "Shard Lifeweaver" is it not? cause i followed that link on your guilds page to your user page--Lord randy taylor 05:53, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah that's me, and I did make that character name. You must have checked that a few weeks ago. Also, we weren't meaning to harrass you, adrin was asking you something and you ignored him, so I made that to get your attention. Sorry if you felt we were harrassing you. ~Shard 06:00, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

Unnecessary[edit]
This is unnecessary and bordering on rude. Your comments overall on Gaile's support page have been more of a trolling variety than is necessary. Please restrict your posts on Gaile's support page to legitimate support issues. I don't care how mad/bitter you are at getting banned in game, this crap needs to stop on the wiki. If you have a personal gripe with Gaile or support, do it through email. -- Wyn 01:18, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

That anet wouldn't want to nerf shadow form. Lots of people play it, and alot of ppl would get angry if it got shut down. However, this game is out of control and it needs to be taken back. Whatever happened to grouping up to kill in UW/FoW? Now it's all speed clears. I joined a group and they asked me to pay for cons... um, I just wanted to play in FoW. It's back to how it was with ursan. A decision has to be made. Is this game going to be controlled by the player base, with the current PvP meta and heroes, Shadow Form, Palm Strike? No it should not. The law has to be laid down where invincibility is illogical in a game based on survival, PvP should not have AI in it, and overpowered skills should not exist. It's common sense and I hope these can get addressed. Again, I know people will be upset, but this game cannot be controlled by the player base, it's Your Game. --adrin 11:47, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
- Great, sound business advice that. Ignore a majority of your player base to appease a vocal minority. Misery 13:07, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
- And that's what linsey should do to build up a reputation for GW to make people buy GW2. Because when you make a game without the knowledge of game balance and you give the most commonly run profession a Bamph!, and you answer to complainers with "but the majority of the player base likes it" you shouldn't expect people to buy the sequel.
- edit: Actually shadow form is ursan but more powerful! Boro 13:28, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
- I find it hilarious at how you guys go on like some great visionaries of the game, like you know more than the developers, because really, who are they to stand up to your delusions of grandeur? Now, I will agree with your last point. It is their game, and they will change and not change things at their own purview, not yours. But, by all means, continue. Drago 14:28, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
- Which part of "disallow godmode" is visionary? I'm sorry, but this isn't a revolution - it's a wake-up call.
- No, they may not know more than the developers about how the game works. But about how it plays? Well, when said development is allowing one-man teams to kill Shiro, two-man teams to clear any dungeon (one of whom doesn't actually do anything), and eight-man teams to speed clear what was supposed to be one of the most difficult areas of the game, it's not hard to make a case that they aren't, in fact, really aware of how their game is being played.
- The fact is, authority isn't always correct, Drago. Shadow Form is a prime example of a poor decision by authority. Raine - talk 14:52, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

@Misery When the majority of the player base is abusing the game, it needs to be fixed.
@Drago I understand disallow godmode isn't visionary, but anet still hasn't come to the realization that it should not exist. They keep nerfing around it and have even admitted that they don't want to nerf it since it's being used to farm. I'm not stating how I want the game to be run, but I'm pointing out Logic. Re-read the problems if you have to. If they seem illogical, then you're playing a different game.
I also wanted to point out that when I say words like you and your, I mean arenanet as a whole. I understand that GW1 Live is a team effort where people have to collaborate on what needs to be done. So my intent isnt to single out any employee, but address the team as a whole on how the game is declining. --adrin 15:09, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah Adrin, I can't wait to be a necromancer and thus no one wants me in a group because I'm a necromancer. Bring on the slow runs through FoW, I'll catch up with you when I'm a warrior, dervish, monk, or ritualist. Vael Victus 15:34, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
- To prevent weird changes I show here the problem with the skill.
- Effect(the mechanic of...): Immunity to spells and attacks. total immunity. There is no other 3skill combinations with the same effect. suggestion:(this can be used in the way arenanet wants to use) change the effect to an all-purpose defense skill. By it I mean anything from damage reduction (%) to added armor (24 and 40 flags are welcome, or scaling like WY). Duration tweaks haven't proven to be effective (for almost a year!!!)
- SpeedClear: it's based on the Shadow Form's ability to maintain immunity and have enough energy to clear parts of elite areas. Speed clear uses 2 or 6 terra assassins who just solo parts of the elite area, because if quests are done paralell, then the total time needed to finish the area (<30 mins) is drastically reduced.

- To prevent weird changes I show here the problem with the skill.
- It is possible to do UW in 8 minutes. EIGHT MINUTES. That is utterly ridiculous. Here's hoping they actually pay attention to skill balance in gw2. What a stupid, STUPID idea to boost shadow form in the first place, there is no other way to put it. 187.37.61.54 17:07, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
iirc Linsey has said in the past that she would like to adjust Shadowform, but she kind of needs viable ideas. I don't think she wants to smiter's boon it and that will take some time. It's already done the damage it's going to do, you can wait a little while. You are kind of just bitching at a brick wall at the moment, they know the problems by now, temper tantrums and flailing aren't going to convince them more. She also indicated that she was taking steps to try and remove heroes from PvP by making henchmen viable. This is known as an intelligent solution. I would say "Do you guys have any actual suggestions for how to fix it!?!" but you aren't allowed to have ideas at the moment, so have a nice day! ^_______^ Misery 17:34, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
10 ¼ 30 - Hex Spell. Shadow step to target foe. For 0...6...8 seconds, all attacks against you miss and all hostile spells against you fail. When Shadow Form ends, you return to your original location. If Shadow Form was removed prematurely or lasted it's full duration, you lose all but 0...40...50 Health.
- It's a hex spell; there's no way to scale hex durations, so it's not maintainable. Even with 15 Shadow Arts and a HSR (the cap on skill recharge reduction is 50%). Hell, even if it were maintainable, it wouldn't matter; you return to your original location each time. GL farming with that.
- Being a hex instead of an enchantment means it can be removed, unlike the current shadow form (enchant removal without hostile spells? Good joke).
- No, you don't always lose all health. If your foe dies, it ends prematurely, but isn't removed prematurely. It's like Sin's Promise or EoE; either you get owned or that foe gets owned.
- The recharge might need a hit, or the duration (it should be long enough to get off lead -> offhand -> dual at a respectable spec, but not lead -> offhand -> dual -> offhand -> dual or anything lame like that). But I don't think that would break Guild Wars. Raine - talk 16:43, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
- Just revert Shadow Form to its original functionality.
10 1 60 For 5...17 seconds, all hostile spells that target you fail and all attacks against you miss. When Shadow Form ends, lose all but 5...41 Health. It might need a few further tweaks from that, but otherwise it's fine. You can't maintain it, it can still be used to farm bosses and such. People did in fact use it in that form. - HA isn't the same level of bad pve as UW/FoW. And we usually let first timers play with us if we can't get a full team and we really want to play, for a run, and then make the choice of kicking or not. Unless they were jerks, then we kicked them off the bat.--*Yasmin Parvaneh* 21:42, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

I'm with you on Anet failure.[edit]
I feel your pain, about 2 months ago I was permabanned for TRYING a bot. First time to use, permabanned. A little harsh, but deserving, I would think. Until I went through the internet and found literally hundreds of accounts that were reinstated because of some hypocritical Anet double standards. Accounts reinstated because faction farming was "too difficult" in the words of Cykor, lord of the hip deep manure. Accounts that appealed and were reinstated 12 or 13 times, for the same offense, botting. Here's the kicker: a young girl playing in Europe, tried a bot for the first time and got caught, just like me. Slap on the wrist and sent on her way by Anet. Typical. Tha Reckoning 23:45, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- That's pretty inconsistent yeah :/. Doesn't take away the fact you should never bot though. Dark Morphon 12:43, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

- My edit is far superior.
- I was going to try to link to this edit inside this edit before I actually saved it, but I would have to know how wiki makes the oldID pages (I don't). In any case, Jon told me I should troll this section because adrin made a 666-byte-sized edit (c wut i did thar?), but I don't put much into the number 666. Random numbers in general don't mean anything unless you can connect them to something significant. TBH, I don't even know where that particular number comes from. All I know is that little boy in The Omen has that on his head in birthmarks or something. Creepy movie.
- It certainly is hard to add fluff to a post when you have absolutely nothing to talk about... wait, maybe I should put on my troll mask, I'm good at that. I do think It's funny that your edit had to do with a game about hell. Pretty pr0.
- AHA! I have made an edit that is exactly 1337 bytes big, right after I talked about how random numbers don't mean anything. I am so gut. By the way, I did it on the first try ^^

- There are many speculations as to what 666 means, most biblical scholars believe it refers to the Roman Emperor Nero. It is called the "mark of the beast" and any man with it is shunned. I read somewhere that in the Bible, someone (can't remember who) saw a "beast" rising out of the sea. Supposedly, this man was foreseeing the future, the continents of Europe and the 666 had something to do with the kings of the mountains of that area, or something. The number 666 can also correspond to the flag of Israel, which has a six sided figure at it's center, with six triangles, and six outward points. --Tha Reckoning 02:30, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
