out of curiosity

do you play any games besides guild wars? most games that aren't pay per month rarely get updated, if ever. particularly games for Playstation. most games can also be modded and have numerous bad exploits. if you're not sure why i'm bringing this up, it's due to your comments on Shard's arbcomm. i'm not sure why so many users have this idea that ArenaNet owes us something. we should be gracious that they're willing to continually update and accept community feedback from time to time. if i were to design a game, then get personally attacked because there was some flaw or another that a particular gamer thought needed fixing, you can be sure i'd put that at the bottom of my to-do list out of spite. professionalism will get you surprisingly far in the real world. ··· Danny Pew Pew 18:34, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Spite is hardly professional. As for other games, yes I play many other games. I'm actually quite inactive in game as compared to the wiki strangely. The other games I do play include Starcraft (perfection doesnt need to be updated), Rainbow 6 series, Rock Band series for 360, Street Fighter 4, etc. I didn't mean to offend you, i was making a point that people have the right to complain when obvious easy fixes go ignored out of lack of care. --adrin 18:38, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

(Edit conflict) No problem. Sorry if I came off a bit bitter, myself. Shard's arbcomm is pretty hilarious from an outside perspective, but some users are frustratingly ignorant. Spite isn't professional, by any standard, but trolling staff members is hardly the appropriate initiative. Unfortunately, negative words usually garner negative responses. User Images for Sigs

Hey adrin, I'm working on building my sig and have been reading arround the gw wiki site (on code and rules + regs for image use) but can't figure out how I should do what I want. I would like to include the icon image (of the large equipment pack) in my signature but am unsure by which means. I'm asking you because you have the ecto in your signature. I know you have to upload the image into the userspace but do not know how this is done (how a page is created) especially if it is already on the wiki in its own form. How did you get this done with the ecto image? I hope you can help me. edit: I tried saving it to my computer and uploading it, but then it would be a duplicate file. When someone posts a link in a topic they have created asking if it is a video that thousands of people have been waiting for for a very long time, knowing that a lot of people are going to click on it to see if it really is when the poster knows fully well that it isn't and is just intentionally misleading people, that is disruptive. I know none of you agree with my feelings regarding rickrolls, I went through an entire RfC process because of it, but it hasn't changed my belief that they have no business being posted on talk pages. If the reverter was watching RC they probably would have caught it a lot quicker. Tagging the edit summery as an archive probably would have helped.
