Help... again...

Anja... Hag needs you again lol.

I know what to name my images now when I'm uploading them, but can you please tell me where I have to put that 'user image' tag (so it shows that the file was uploaded for personal use)...? In the help files it tells you to put it in the description, but there's no such box. All I see is a 'summary' box. I don't want to annoy all the people here with my "wrong submissions" you see lol. I reckon I've already annoyed enough people in the past the way I've been submitting things :P - Hag E Nees 15:03, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

The summary box is also an edit box when you upload a new file, although there is some bug with it sometimes, so what you put there doesn't always show up correctly. But after you have uploaded an image, go to the image page, like Image:User Hag E Nees Hag E Nees.jpg and press edit there, voila! edit box! ;) and {{user image}} is the way to tag :) - anja 15:40, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

His user page is made out of several parts of subpages and templates. I'd recommend you to copy his code over to your user page and preview it, and change different parts and see what happens. I could explain it all, but I'm afraid I would just confuse you. I think it's better if you try it, and then feel free to ask again if it doesn't work out as you wanted, or you have more questions :) Also, alot of editing help can be found on Help:Editing, so that's a start to understanding what's done. - anja 15:25, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

Skill template code ids

Userbox

How can I make a userbox on my page? One like Helena's (and in the userbox to have things like "This user is a Monk by nature") I tryed to copt the template codes but I didn't see any "edit" button. --Neko.Kat 09:43, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

There's always an edit link at the top of the page, so you can use that :) To create userboxes, you either use templates made by other users, like for example {{User Monk}} (and at the bottom of that page you see the category User templates, which leads you to alot of other ones). You can also make your own very easily using the {{userbox}}-template, see that page for better info :) If you put in {{User Monk}} you will get the "This user is a Monk by nature" userbox on your page, for example. It's not safe to assume I'll be an admin yet :) But, regarding that issue, I think we could let it be if he doesn't add anything more, and we can let Ab.er.rant fix it when he comes on. I don't think he meant to vandalise, but rather to get help, and got it misplaced. NPCs

Hi, I see you just reverted the history of how I edited the NPCs in ascolon. I did it this way because this is how most other towns were laid out, should I clean up all other towns NPCs to instead look like ascolons NPCs section? --Alien 12:59, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

If you look here, you see the (not finished) formatting guide for locations (towns, outposts, explorables etc). The look Ascalon City had before conformed with that guide, that's why I reverted. As I think the huide wont be changed all too much, I think it's best to follow the guide in all articles. So, if you have time, it would be nice if you could clean up the others also :) (Remember, if you think the formatting is ugly/weird/wrong in any way, do bring it up in the formatting guide talk!) - anja 13:04, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Guild Page

how do i make a guild page on wiki...

Write "Guild:<the guild name here>" in the search field, and press "create this page" at the top of the search result page. :) For example, if I were to create a guild page for The Resurrected Phoenix, I would type "Guild:The Resurrected Phoenix". That's correct, you can't protect pages yourself, only admins can do that. And we very seldom protect pages, because it simply isn't needed :) Why would you want to protect your pages?

Your build page hasn't been deleted. In fact, you seem to have 2! User:Prophetic Arrows/Builds Page and User:Prophetic Arrows/Build Page. I think this edit might be the source of your confusion. -- AT(talk | contribs) 01:06, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Image problems

The guild cape image isn't updating on to the guild page

Ah, I almost guessed. We have that problem very often, it's the image cache on wiki, not the image itself. Wait an hour and it will solve :) Btw, you can always respond on the talk page where the first comment was written, most, if not all, people watch the conversations they have posted :) - anja 23:16, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

Skill icon redirect bot?

Welcome! The editing guide is a great place to start, there you can find the basics about wiki code. It also has links to more help articles about code.
