re Watch Yourself!
I just reverted your addition of a move tag. Watch Yourself! is one of the old shouts that didn't follow the norm of being in quotation marks. In other words, it is as it is in-game. --snograt 13:31, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
- Really? Why do I see Quotes around it, in game? -- riyen ♥ 19:56, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
- Screenshot? P.S. Log in. de Kooning 19:37, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
- File:User Pling watch yourself.jpg - it still doesn't have quote marks. (By the way, could you remove the floating image? It's kinda annoying. Thanks.) -- pling 19:49, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
- I like the floating image. :-) -- riyen ♥ 19:56, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
- O, yea ty Kooning, was on two laptops posting. well went from husband's to this one. Cold outside too, brrr. -- riyen ♥ 19:56, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
- So, why did you see Quotes around it, in game? :P Rose Of Kali 00:10, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- Really don't know. Also gotten an 'Under Construction' photo for a staff that husband was showing me in game. Took photo and placed in my Journal. -- riyen ♥ 00:16, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- Ya, I love the red hat dude, he's so jolly, yet you still want to punch him for hiding what you really want to see. :P Rose Of Kali 00:17, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- Yep, had to go to husband's computer, just to see what the actual item was. Might have to use the gw.exe they sent. It fixed husband's problems with his windows 7. Better than their "Game Advisor" which I don't like, because it shows keys for any windows programs, etc. Information that to me is too nosey and none of their business about. Information that doesn't affect/effect games. -- riyen ♥ 00:21, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- His hat looks pretty white to me. Vili 点 00:22, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- The "under construction" dude? Maybe I just don't remember, it's been a while since kegs of ale came up, which was the last time I saw that dude. Rose Of Kali 01:28, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

- Floating stuff is fine on a userpage (or at least it's not disruptive), but not on a talk page it gets in the way of reading and making comments. So yeah, remove the float. -- pling 10:53, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

Show preview
Is there something you're doing to your sandbox where you can't properly use show preview? --JonTheMon 04:30, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- Lol Doing each section at a time, saves from having to scroll through a lot. That's why so many edits. Sorry! -- riyen ♥ 04:31, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
Can vs. might
They mean the same thing, at least in that sentence. They are both modal verbs used to indicate potentiality, and both are interpreted as, "There is a possibility he will appear."
Yes, they mean different things here:
- "I can go."
- as opposed to
- "I might go."
However, the sense that they are being used in this case is the same as the following two sentences:
- "Smoking can be harmful to your health."
- and
- "Smoking may be harmful to your health."
Just FYI. --★KOKUOU★ 06:17, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- Posted definition to all three. Think you got can confused with may. -- riyen ♥ 06:19, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- Cause can to me, when I read. I interpret it as if he'll be there, so I'd expect him. Where as with might or may. Well, there's the possibilty, but I wouldn't expect him as much. See? It'slike saying I can go there. As if i'll be there. Where as, I may/might go there. Can be interpreted as that I might be there, but then I am not sure. Read the definitions on the page. Thanks! -- riyen ♥ 06:21, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- As a linguist (that means I studied grammar in depth as a science, including that of my native language of English) who graduated from one of my country's top linguistics departments, I can assure you that I am most certainly not confusing the two. Copypastaing definitions from the internet does not mean you understand it, as clearly you do not. --★KOKUOU★ 06:24, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- @Ariyen: There, I have fixed your fallacy in very unambiguous and un-misunderstandable words on that page. Read. | 72 (UTC) 06:35, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

- I agree with Kokuou on this one, even though English is my 4th. :P Rose Of Kali 12:53, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- In short: "Can" means he has the ability to, "Might" means having the ability to but not necessarily the will. Titani Ertan 15:34, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- Not necessarily the will, would have fit it better. 72.148.31.114 20:04, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- Regardless, it's still wrong, and Titani is missing the point too. Can I make it once more? Very clearly? Please? :P Now that it's over?
- Can
- The subject at least sometimes does the action.
- The subject is capable of doing the action.
- May/Might
- The subject is capable of doing the action.
- The case may be that the subject does the action.
- The 2nd meaning of "may/might" is wrong for this case. Can doesn't have that possible meaning. | 72 (UTC) 20:38, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- Second still fits, if I can play the game I'd find out easier there which fits. but right now can't play. I'm telling ncsoft my problems and they're not helping by pointing the issue at my net connection when it's Not. -- riyen ♥ 20:46, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- Heh, no, we know that we appears there sometimes. We're not wondering "Does he appear there?" :P | 72 (UTC) 20:56, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

42
It may be a good idea to refrain from discussing on 42's talk page for a while. As of right now, it just looks that you are antagonizing him more than fixing whatever mistake he does.
If something shows up that requires you to notify him, just leave the note and refrain from further discussing personal interpretations on the issue. It should be clear by now that reasoning with words doesn't work well there.--Fighterdoken 08:15, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks. It's clear with anyone that no one can reason with one that doesn't listen. -- riyen ♥ 08:16, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

Contacting support
You can just use the support template. Beats typing out the link every time. -- FreedomBound 21:10, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

- You didn't understand, I copied {{support}} and pasted it when I realized I forgot it in the first place. -- riyen ♥ 21:49, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
- Bout the same speed for me. They are equally easy. But it nice to know that there is a template. Drogo Boffin 21:51, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

Hi
Sometimes you just need to shut the fuck up because you're not adding anything useful to a conversation at all. This would be a nice example of that. - Mini Me talk 21:27, 14 December 2009

- The difference between me and her is that I do it on purpose. - Mini Me talk 21:37, 14 December 2009
- Oh, really? Haven't seen you add anything real useful to conversations. :-) -- riyen ♥ 21:43, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- That does not matter. I know I don't, but you don't. I don't really care whether you do something with this or not, so cya. - Mini Me talk 21:45, 14 December 2009
- shrugs* what I say is my opinion. My only suggestion is to ignore it, if you don't like it. -- riyen ♥ 21:47, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thing is, it's clear that 42 has issues "ignoring" other people's opinion, which is why you commenting there is more troublesome than helpful.
- Just let Poke and Wyn manage the situation.--Fighterdoken 21:55, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- He has more issues than that. -- riyen ♥ 21:59, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

Not orphaned...
A {{not orphaned}} template on the image page is fine too.--Fighterdoken 22:59, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

This
Impersonating a legitimate system message has historically (read: consensus) been strongly frowned upon on GWW. If you must have it, please make it more obvious that it is fake; changing just two letters is not enough. Vili 点 06:42, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

- Hsh, yea same, but I figured... It'd be for those noobs. I've had one redo one page, so... To 'try' to prevent. they can click and be on their page to edit, not mine. *laughs* not a sandbox here. -- riyen ♥ 07:12, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
