Undead
Because formatting guidelines say this:
"species: Please provide the appropriate base species of the NPCs, like Dwarf for all Dwarves. Defaults to "Not specified"."
Althought I only remebered changid Ghost to Undead in ... let's se... 6 or 7 articles, all ghost take double damage from holy damage sources, unlike spirits... a ghost is mainly an uncorporeal, non-fleshy undead, like spirits of the fallen in Nolani Academi, and Smoke Phantoms, they are all not fleshy, do not leave visible corpses and both take double holy damage and are affected by the 'undead slaying' modifier.
What is true is that it's impossible to tell the species of a creature that is not hostile and can't be attacked or have been attacked by enemies, in that case the 'species' could be lef 'Not speced' or 'unkown', but since all the ghosts (both ally and enemy) I've seen so far take double holy damage and are affected by the 'undead slaying' modifier and spirits do not, thought being also 'greenish' and translucent, we can only say that ghosts are undead, and guidelines ask for the base species, not the subspecies.
I've started a discussion in the Ghost page to talk about it, too.
It would be easier if Anet gave us some data... craven efiggies are another pain... ¬¬
In the same way djinns are elementals, Behemots are Great Beasts and and Margonites are Demons, ghosts are undead
Maybe the guideline should be changed?

- Species are still being discussed and an acceptable proposal has been made. Take a look: Talk:Species. -- ab.er.rant 03:40, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Weapon Sets
Hi BeXoR - just wanted to argue a bit about having a link to Weapon Sets in the Weapon swap and Energy hiding articles. I think it's a relevant link and a non-intuitive interface element for a new player. My 2 cents. :) - Thulsey - talk 08:29, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- He removed the link because, at the time, there was no such article. Now that the article exists, there's no reason not to link to it =P MisterPepe talk 08:38, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- I (she) removed the links because I'm stupid. I was thinking to myself while I was doing it "Why am I doing this? Oh well.." Sorry, I dunno what's up with me tonight. ~_~ - BeX 09:39, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yes. Always remember this is a wiki, empty links are there so people know pages are wanted and they make them. A link should not be removed just because there is no page, only because it is irrelevant. MithranArkanere 21:32, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I am well aware of that thank you. - BeX 01:51, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Do you still need this?

- Ah yeh forgot it may be linked even though it is "unused" as in displayed. --Lemming64 12:23, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I try to check the "what links here" section for images that seem like they might be used to present a point or might otherwise be part of a talk page or something. -- (gem / talk) 12:26, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Headgear
We (I? :P) need some structure over the headgear. Which headgear is considered part of an armor art and which is not, which should have own pages and which should not.. I'm all confused. At the moment, I have done Ele headgear in a structure I find ok, since it really doesn't belong to any set, that's quite obvious imo. Look at Elementalist headgear and navigate from there.
I think the mesmer headgear should be equally easy to sort out, just need to work on that and standardize. But then there is Monk, Paragon, Necro... I just can't figure out the best way. - anja (contribs) 13:20, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- I left you a message on MSN to chat there about this but it doesn't look like you've signed on since. I think it would be easiest to chat there, if you'll be on sometime during today. - BeX 04:30, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
- I use another IM program for my MSN, so I don't recieve offline messages. We have to fit it in when we both are awake :P - anja (contribs) 09:17, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
Necromancer Ragged Scar Pattern *point at infobox, pvp section* That looks bad :( How to solve it? - anja (contribs) 10:39, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

- The "Pvp" heading looks small and out of place imo. Stuffed up in a corner.. - anja (contribs) 11:16, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, how about using "In PvP" then? -- ab.er.rant
- Maybe, should try it and see if it makes it better. I think it's the two-row thing. Maybe a "valign=center" could work also? - anja (contribs) 11:35, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- You could change it to PvP name. I don't think it's that big a problem. - BeX 12:47, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

Looking for information
I wasn't expecting a comment so soon after posting. All the same I appreciate your constructivism. I reviewed the information at the page you gave me and I agree with the redundacy of the numbers. I have removed them and would like to adjust, as you mentioned, the width of the columns. I am afraid however that I can't locate the proper programming language for setting width. If you could direct to a page with this, or give me this information directly I would be very greatful. Thank you again for offering your support for this project. By all means----> Edit away!!! --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Scars reminder .
- It's usually better to continue the converstaion on the same talk page. Otherwise it'll look really disjointed and one-sided. A lot of us watch user talk pages for replies, so you can be sure the person you're chatting with will notice :) -- ab.er.rant 08:08, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
Builds policy
Heyho. You were one of two people mentioning that the current build policy proposal needs refining. It would be great if you could mention what exactly you want to have refined (or of course, you could directly change it in the proposal). --Xeeron 09:58, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
- I honestly can't remember what I was referring to. I'll try to take another look at it tonight! - BeX 10:14, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
You just joined Vizier Khilbron and Turep, Maker of Orphans...
...as the three meanest people in the world. :( You voted against Xeeron! I'd like to know your thoughts on that, if you don't mind. I promise Xeeron will look away. :P --Karlos 13:32, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
- In defense of Bexor, it has to be the list of 7 meanest people at minimum, bound to get longer ;-)
- Oh to keep Karlos promise, I should remove this from my watch list I guess. --Xeeron 13:40, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) I don't mind if you see, as long as you aren't offended. :P
- It wasn't about being mean. :P The thing that clinched it was reading his user page. My impression of Xeeron is that he has a very strong personality and has firm opinions. And while I think those qualities make for a great editor and policy maker, I'd rather see someone more balanced holding the power (though balanced isn't exactly the right word). I suppose it just boils down to whether I perceive a candidate as a decision maker based on their own opinions or someone who does things on behalf the community, and at the time I thought the former. - BeX 13:46, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
- Hmmm. I disagree with your assesment. Don't know if you were around and recall this, but Xeeron was basically in charge of the builds section when it first started on GWiki, and I greatly admired him (and faulted him) for goign with what the community wanted at every turn even though I personally wanted him to just take control and call the shots at some point or another because I felt it was getting out of hand in terms of keeping everyone happy. He showed great patience in listening to all and trying to make people reach consensus.
- I won't try and persuade you to change your vote or any such thing, I was just surprised by your vote. I would've thought anyone who came from GWiki would remember the wonderful job he did in the builds section before it went belly-up. Thanks for the explanation. --Karlos 13:58, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
- I wasn't around at gwiki that long, and while I was there I kept my contact with the builds section very minimal because of the mess it was in. I definitely wasn't there as a serious contributor pre-belly up and I didn't know him there at all. For now, I won't be changing my vote, because that was my honest impression, and without anything else to go on I can't really change that. Maybe in 6 months when the next election is around I will have changed my mind. :) But for now I have to trust my instincts, whether they lead me astray or not. ;) - BeX 15:30, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
A bug in your user page layout
I logged in with a computer that only has IE6 on it and noticed a bug in your user page. The lower half of the last user box overlaps the table and is outside it. -- (gem / talk) 06:26, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
- Funny, it's even got a {{clear}} underneath it. :S - BeX 06:30, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
FKA
We know about your anti ant crusade and seeing as you're now that you're Bex and not Bexor does this mean I can now use the phrase "sic em Bex" at opportune times? Like for example when you've just shutdown some person on Gaile's talk page? I was just wondering really. --Xasxas256 02:42, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- LOL, a little bored today are we? ;) What does FKA mean? - BeX 02:45, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- Aw come on sic em Bex was a good one, would have been better if I found a good opportunity to use it but still, I thought it was good! Yeah I'm pretty bored at work atm, they're supposed to be running a fire drill this week and I'm kinda wondering if I missed the siren or something because no one is around! FKA = Formally known as, I'm pretty sure I didn't make that up. Unlike the other which is pure gold in case I hadn't mentioned that already! We've just got a kettle in our office and we've been thinking up things we can make with it. Yep these are exciting times we live in! --Xasxas256 03:01, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I'm sure there will be a better opportunity for you to use that one. :P What other one are you talking about? Usually I'm the one confusing people with my acronyms. :S Are you allowed on MSN at work? Cause you can always bug me if you're bored. I'm not doing anything at the moment either (just finished reading my night's worth of missed celebrity gossip) and on the brink of boredom too. - BeX 04:27, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
Armor set(s)
apparently i got into an accidental edit conflict w/ u. i have been changing the wording back to armor "set" instead of "sets". i think this is more correct b/c there is only 1 set. --VVong|BA 16:37, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
- It's better to use consistent formatting throughout articles. For merchants we dont change the "Items offered" heading to "Item offered" if they only have 1 item for sale, etc. - BeX 16:39, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
