CME Cantha 2013 edition[edit]
You are missing a bit of map in Jaya Bluffs as seen here. Thought you'd want to know. :) - Infinite - talk 21:04, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot =) Once I confirm this, I'll make the necessary changes and upload a new version. God Of Fissures 01:32, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
- Alright, I confirmed it, and I'll be fixing it for the next release. God Of Fissures 01:38, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
-
- Absolutely no problem! I'll let you know if I run into anything else that improves the uncoverable map (as I'm sure the map won't grow smaller at this point). - Infinite - talk 01:48, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
- I appreciate it. I just updated the mod with the sliver you uncovered. Can be downloaded from the Cartography Made Easy (Cantha 2014) Development Page. God Of Fissures 02:12, 1 February 2014 (UTC)

(Reset indent) I wish I had seen this sooner... (Difficult to confirm, requires WoC Part 3.) - Infinite - talk 05:30, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
- I noticed it on a random character that had finished WoC already and now I sort of feel upset that I didn't know about this for the other 9. - Infinite - talk 05:39, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
(Reset indent) The bit that is marked A between Nahpui and Senji's is mapped from Kaineng Docks, into the Marketplace, and then walking all the way through "Wajjun Bazaar" to the "Undercity." Might be a good one to note. File:User Infinite CME Cantha A.jpg - Infinite - talk 22:02, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah that's why that section is surrounded by an orange square. the sliver to the right (with a red boundary) is the one that cannot be uncovered. God Of Fissures 00:19, 12 February 2014 (UTC)
- It's currently labelled incorrectly, though. Which is why I'm sharing it. ;)
- Similarly, the area north of Vasburg may require elaboration also. You can't portal jump into Vasburg from right outside of it, and I have no clue from where one is supposed to portal jump to reach it. - Infinite - talk 00:27, 12 February 2014 (UTC)

(Reset indent) With the help of Chieftain Alex we have established that the area north of Vasburg is actually uncoverable in two parts. The right side is from Eternal Grove (explorable) as labelled on CME 2014, and requires Strike as One to reach. This also increases the uncoverable map when "exiting Vasburg" into "Morostav Trail" and running to where the shrine would have been normally.
The left side is done from Morostav Trail, as it takes away the shrine in the north east corner of Vasburg, allowing one to run into the massive rock left of it, into a secret path behind it, uncovering the left side (no extra bits come with that one).
Strike as One is also required to jump into Imperial Sanctum and Anjeka's. Good additions to the next version of CME Cantha 2014. :) - Infinite - talk 00:36, 15 February 2014 (UTC)

Cartography Made Easy - Dead Link[edit]
Hope you didn't die. 98.165.111.120 03:21, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
- I will add a new link later today. I keep these things on my Dropbox so a link from there should suffice. Thanks for the report! God Of Fissures 11:50, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
- I can also add a link, if you need. I have an account on mediafire. 24.51.181.74 23:50, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
Other cartography projects ?[edit]
Great great work on cantha and desolation mods ! Did you do only cantha so far because it's the hardest ? Btw congrats on the tahnakai and other black area of the original mod, i thought i was the only one to know about them.--Ruine Eternelle (talk) 17:06, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you for the compliments! The reason I only did Cantha was because I wanted to try making a full cartography mod on the smallest continent. My decision had nothing to do with Cantha's difficulty. Although I do not really play Guild Wars much anymore, I will still respond to talk on my wiki page, so keep in touch if you want =) God Of Fissures 18:21, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot :) And you did make the best choice doing cantha since with FA as it currently is, cantha has become the hardest one to map. I do really love cartography (most people don't like or even hate it) because i believe a real game lover likes the idea of having been everywhere on the map. Over my several cartograhphers I've come to know of some black area on the main mod that i would have love to add, but i don't know whether it's hard and time-consuming to create or update a mod.--Ruine Eternelle (talk) 17:30, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- This mod wouldn't be difficult to update. I have kept all the source organized in folders on Dropbox. If you wish to continue the project, I can supply the source. God Of Fissures 20:36, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- As long as it doesn't take too much time, i'm in :)--Ruine Eternelle (talk) 22:31, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
- I don't have the time to walk you through how to use this completely. Basically you use Texmod to extract the map tiles from the world map. Extract them as DDS files. Use a photo editing program that has DDS editing capabilities to manually "cut out" the parts of each map tile that cannot be uncovered through exploration. You'll have to do a lot of experimentation and self-teaching here, but if you have a little bit of dedication and good Google skills, I am sure you can figure it out. I had originally planned to do all the continents, so it's compiled into one folder called "Legendary Cartographer". It is neatly organized into folders and sub-folders so you shouldn't have any issues finding anything. You can use Texmod to load from a config file to view changes. For that you can load from the "cantha.txt" or "tyria.txt" depending on which continent you want to see loaded. Download is right here: Cartographer Source. You can download without creating a Dropbox account, just close the prompt. Enjoy! God Of Fissures 11:52, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
- Will look into it, thanks ;)--Ruine Eternelle (talk) 20:32, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- I have issues with the manual cutting out. I'm using Gimp with a plugin but i can't see the edges of the fog as clearly as i would like to.--Ruine Eternelle (talk) 12:47, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
- I am not completely understanding what you mean. You cut out the parts that cannot be uncovered. I took a screenshot of my map with the mod on, laid it over the tile I was working on and made the appropriate cuts that way. God Of Fissures 23:36, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
- I figured so. Your work was really clear and today I managed to build a tpf with the small map tiles + your work around Ascalon and it worked perfect. I also managed (finally) to cut out a small tile. However it seems like I can't extract several small tiles for the map, for example a tile west to the frost gate mission, although i actually did explore a part of it. It's not a big deal as it doesn't diturb too much but it'd be great if i could improve that. Now it's just a matter of time, intel and work to get all clean. --Ruine Eternelle (talk) 07:27, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you! Excellent work btw. I am glad I left it in a state where someone could easily take over. If you know which tiles to edit, you can change the fog color to anything you want. God Of Fissures 09:50, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
- The mod has been realeased ! Check if you have any black part ;) Even areas that cannot be reached anymore or need low level pvp team.--Ruine Eternelle (talk) 15:47, 10 May 2015 (UTC)

I've already added some pieces of my work on my talk page. Pretty much all I've found so far and details too. But aim is to be as precise as possible so first i'll try to gather as much intel as i can and do some SaO chains. If you've found anything that isn't there, please tell me. Oh, btw, I'm Ruine Eternelle--80.12.55.187 14:12, 21 April 2015 (UTC)
- I am glad to hear you caught onto using Texmod so quickly. It was not too difficult, I hope. Good luck! God Of Fissures 23:01, 21 April 2015 (UTC)

Hello, I would like your input.[edit]
I am revamping the poorly designed and neglected pages about graphic modification or UGC (User Generated Content). Once complete my finished pages will be moved by Greener to the appropriate areas. I can foresee getting this done but would like your opinions. I posted a link to my pages in my talk page. Feel free to drop by and tell me anything you like. --Wendy Black 20:41, 14 November 2015 (UTC)
Desolation Runner dead download link[edit]
Hey, I tried to download your Desolation Runner mod, but the link is dead. Could you re-upload it somewhere if you still have the file? Many thanks :) -- kazerniel (talk) 12:36, 20 January 2020 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. My friend reuploaded it and updated the link on the mods page. https://gitlab.com/jnvsor/gw-running God Of Fissures 22:47, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
