Cartography contributions[edit]
Thanks for updating so many articles on zones with an estimate of their contribution to their Cartography title. That's been a gap on this wiki for far too long.
I wanted to point you to a resource I find helpful: Guild Wiki. One of the primary contributors at the original wiki for GW went ahead and actually measured the acreage of each zone (explorable, outpost, mission instance) to determine an exact fraction.
I find the data to be reliable and consistent with user estimates and so I use those figures. Guild Wiki has a little widget that reads the numbers from a source file and automatically publishes them in the info box for the article, i.e. if you visit Rhea's Crater @GWiki, you'll see it shows 2.66% vs the 2.4% we have published here.
I hope that link is as useful to you as I have found it.

- Thanks for the feedback and cartography tips. I'll check the tool you mentioned next time I have the right opportunity. My so called method of finding the percentages is by simply checking the title track numbers before and after covering the area... By the way, I'm sure my numbers are kind of approximate (to say the least), because of the variables involved (such as the starting point of the cartographer, or if the neighbouring areas have been revealed or not, etc). So another player will almost certainly come upon somehow different numbers. Anyway, I'm guessing the sum of all numbers will be correct at the end. Or close enough, hopefully...
- And sorry for the "little" delay of my response, but I've just recently found that I don't have a username only, but a user page too! --Herculite67 22:47, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
