PvX new location

I noticed some of your links still point towards Wikia's fork of PvX, which is no longer reliably maintained. Have you signed in at the current location? gwpvx.com. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 17:31, 24 October 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for picking this up. Yes I had tried to login over at gwpvx and tried logging in only to find my password was not accepted. So I clicked on the email password and got the message: Login error Error sending mail: There is no e-mail address recorded for user "Lady Elyssa". So I tried creating a new account and got the Login error Username entered already in use. Please choose a different name. I have checked the User space for my characters name and no details exist, so I am a little troubled. Problem is I don't know how to contact the admins on there to try and rectify it. That sounds annoying. It might be difficult to resolve since the pvx wiki admins probably don't have control over this and (near as I can tell from watching GWiki), the server admins (from Curse.com) probably don't have the time to resolve stuff like this.

Here's what I'd try: drop a note first at their admin noticeboard and wait a few days for a response. If that doesn't work, try leaving a note for Wynthyst, who works for Curse now, but used to be a volunteer admin here at GWW.

You might double-check that your wikia preferences have an email address listed (don't change it...yet; it might be a useful troubleshooting tool later to try to change it). If all of that fails... there are probably only bad and worse alternatives, one of which would be to create a new account at gwpvx (e.g. Lady Elyssa II or something); you won't have any trouble moving any of your content (including your builds).

You clearly haven't reclaimed your account yet (PvX@Curse accounts are different to PvX@Wikia). By the login window theres a reclaim button, you follow the instructions there to reclaim it. Collecting Ectos for Obsidian Armor

I currently have a sum total of 3 Ectos and just don't know why the drop rate in the UW is so bad. So if anyone has any suggestions for farming these then I would love to hear them. I feel for you - I've just been there. I got my fugly armor by selling 7 years worth of unwanted crap - minis, sweets, party stuff, the usual. As Alex says, ecto farming is a waste of time these days. Also bear in mind that ectos are easy to find, whereas nobody holds on to shards. I ended up buying all my shards from the rare mats dude. Well I sold my soul to Grenth a long time ago and already scraping the bottom of the barrel with only a few mats left and Obsidian Shards seem to drop ok in FoW, 1 trip yielded 8 shards. Sadly you and Alex have the right of it that they will have to be bought or traded for. Am about 30% of the way to r3 zaishen so may be able to start trading some keys to help smooth things along, other than than it looks like a long grind ahead... Lady Elyssa 11:08, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

Obsidian Armor - -Achieved

Well finally I have been able to suit up with my new Obby Armor and would just like to thank those of you who played your part and contributed to giving me a good poke, prod or kick in the right direction. My Zaishen title is almost r3 so can go in to my HoM in the next day or two, after that it's going to be trying to conquer the UW and I have another Necro willing to face their Dhuum with me, any other takers? Thanks Alex, mind you I have not given up on wanting to Dhuum myself, lol, more for completion than anything else. With the Dragon Festival I was able to top up my Unlucky title to get the full 50. In Awe!

I thought seeing my first GWAMM was an experience and found myself bowing down to their greatness. Then I got to meet and speak to File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex and found myself sounding like a n00b but now...

Today I heard the voice (well the teal text) of one John Foreman from the Live Team!
