Image:Liselle Morrow Bugged Phoenix.jpg[edit]
Hello Liselle, someone has tagged this image for deletion, as it is not using the proper naming (see GWW:IMAGE). Can you please re-upload the image as Image:User Liselle Morrow Bugged Phoenix.jpg? Thank you. -- (CoRrRan / talk) 20:06, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- Done... Liselle Morrow 20:45, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- (EC)I just had a discussion about this situation: where someone is using an image that is used on a main namespace talk page, used in a discussion. It looks like the name you used was ok to use. In fact, if you had just named it Bugged phoenix.jpg, that would have been OK too. However, you uploaded an image using your login name, this confused someone and he put up a deletion notice on the image. The way you first uploaded this image was a bit ambiguous perhaps. :) -- (CoRrRan / talk) 20:50, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- Ah right, I was planning to upload it as a main image at first, but because it was for use on a talk page as a personal example, I figured uploading it under my username might make more sense. I forgot to add the User bit in between though, making it perhaps a little confusing. Still it should be fine as it is now, right? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Liselle Morrow .
- Yep. Don't forget to sign your comments, though. :) (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 21:26, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- ^_^ Lol, I blame my exceedingly poor memory... Makes sure to sign it this time --> Liselle Morrow 21:50, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Bear Club for Men/Women with a dervish[edit]
Sounds like you're having trouble with this on a dervish. I did too the first time through -- I beat on that bear for over 30 minutes, trying to time a weapon swap and failing. I haven't quite solved it with an assassin yet, but dervishes can deal out lots of damage without their scythe. I came up with this build using all dervish skills that can beat the bear fairly quickly (< 10 minutes), and you can hold the club the entire time. I may also post this on the talk page for the quest or the bear.
Mysticism: 15 (for +5 energy on enchantment ending)
Earth Prayers: 13 (12 will probably work too)
Zealous Renewal | Signet of Pious Light | Aura of Thorns | Staggering Force | Balthazar's Rage | Heart of Holy Flame | Eternal Aura | Optional |
Hold the club and attack the bear. Now all you do is:
- Cast Zealous Renewal and always wait for this one to wear off naturally. Make sure you're attacking with the club to get the energy benefit.
- Cast each enchantment and immediately remove it with Signet of Pious Light.
- You can also chain enchantments and remove them. I liked Eternal Aura->Balthazar's Rage->Heart of Holy Flame->Signet->Signet->Signet. I'm not sure there's any benefit to this but the visible spike is more satisfying.
- Try to keep him bleeding with Aura of Thorns at all times, the bleeding cancels his natural regen.
All of his skills can be ignored. Just work at it for a while and he'll go down. Thanks to Signet of Pious Light, you'll have no health problems. -- bcstingg (talk • contribs) 14:07, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hehe nice one, though 10 mins still is a pretty long time. But like I mentioned I did finally manage to beat him with a randomly assorted build. It's my Paragon that is really stuck. I wouldn't suppose you have a solution for that eh? :P Liselle Morrow 14:45, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
- I was going to suggest a 130 derv build, but since you've already beaten him... best of luck on the paragon! -elviondale (tahlk) 15:02, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
- I know you are searching for primary skill solutions, but Empathy + selfheal is a very simple combination which should be enough to bring the bear down. --Xeeron 16:20, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
- I was able to beat the bear quite easily with my assassin using Summon Ruby Djinn, Ear Bite (these two combine to cancel the bear's regen), "I am the Strongest!" (allows you to actually do some damage with the club), and Grenth's Balance. Nothing more than those 4 skills were needed. I think a Paragon could manage the energy requirements of these skills. Also, Burning Refrain would help keep the bear continuously burning as long as he has more health than you. Grenth's Balance isn't strictly necessary (I could slightly outpace the bear's healing and regen with the PvE skills alone), but it does speed things up considerably and functions as a self heal. You won't be able to kill the bear when your Ruby Djinn isn't up. I don't like the idea of having to use secondary profession skills that will be useless in the future either. The PvE-only skills provide a good alternative.
- You may also be interested to know that you can Shadow Meld the Norn Guards outside the arena and cancel once inside, so the bear can't get to you. This allows professions like Elementalist to nuke away and not have to worry about self healing. Viper's Defense will also teleport you outside the arena sometimes. -- bcstingg (talk • contribs) 17:39, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
