Complete Collection
Hey hey, I've been looking about on the net and it seems that the info is somewhat sparse on this product and thought you might be able to help. I knwo it contains all 4 campaigns but other details are missing. For example due it to being called "complete" does it contain the pre-order bonus keys? (i'm assuyming it doesnt) Also how many char slots do you start with? do you start with 8 due it having the 3 main campauigns in it or do you start with 4 which is standard per activation code? Just would kinda like the info so that A) I can update the page on the wiki and B) so i can consider if its worth me buying it. Also as a brief aside, With the addition of the millennium edition upgrade and the BMP addition to the online shop, will their ever be a way to purchase an unlock for the pre-order weapons in the shop too? Personally i already have them all on my main account but i would like to unlock them on my mule account as well as they are quite handy, although as an addendum to this the pre-order weapons from prophs need balanced with the ones from factions, NF and GW:EN, as at the mo the prophs ones are subpar to them. -- Salome 18:01, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Salome. You get 8 character slots with the Complete Collection, and it also includes (next to the shiny golem M.O.X ;)) the weapons from the millenium edition. About your question for being able to purchase the pre-orde weapons: I can pass that suggestion along :) --Martin Kerstein (talk) 11:28, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Thank you Martin!
I was doing a bit of reading through community posts and noticed how quickly you and peter are to respond to questions and concerns. Thank you very much and keep up the great work as community managers! --adrin 10:09, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Jadesteinbruch
Hi Martin.
- I doubt you will get a response about this quest, (I think its something to do with the jade quarry but my German is rusty) as very sadly Martin has been made redundant. *cries* -- Salome 01:43, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Congrats and Good Luck
I am heartened to hear that you have been offered a role as a CM over in Seattle, with Regina. Many of us here were saddened to see your "departure" in the first instance, but this is extremely good news. I hope that the work visa things can be worked out and if it is, that moving to America isn't too stressful or too much of a culture shock to you. The move from Brighton to Seattle is gonna be a big one. ;) Anyhoo once again good luck for the future regardless of what happens and please send the wiki's regards to Peter and our hopes that he too will find something soon. -- Salome 13:25, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Complete Collection

Hello There Sir
- We can be a rowdy bunch here in America. I'm sure you know how difficult PR is, and if you haven't been able to tell over the life of this wiki we are very passionate people who are passionate about having this game be the absolute best it can be. - I'm happy to help you with anything you need Martin. I personally prefer a fairly straight forward chronological archive, you can however organize it however you wish, depending on the amount of traffic you are getting, you may want to do a chronological by month, sub-divided by subject. Again, the more traffic, the more sophisticated you need your structuring for ease of use. It may be something to look into while the licensing discussion is going on, as there will most likely be some changes to how staff talk pages are handled once the new namespace is implemented. -- Wyn 18:00, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
- I have taken the liberty of archiving your 2008 stuff into a single archive. If you wish to subdivide it, we can do that as well. -- Wyn 22:25, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

Pong
Heya Martin - I got started with Pong, too - I blame my uncle for that - he was an electrical serviceman and had all the latest gadgets. I'm pretty sure the one I played wasn't a first generation pong because it had several games hard-wired into the device (variants of pong and a pistol game that I think was called Duck Hunt) I also remember having to look up at the TV which was about 3 feet off the ground. --146.122.71.136 22:48, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
CM/Arenanet Activities
Something has been nagging at the back of my mind for a while now: What's with the decreased activity on the wiki? (and I would say in general but I don't use the forums myself, those I do now check have said things have slowed there too but since I haven't checked I can't really go on that)
I ask this as I've noticed, primarily, Regina's activities on the Wiki have, for want of a better term, stopped. She, and I see you, haven't really been on the wiki in a CM capacity since the start of the month, we're nearing the end of the month. It has been mentioned there is a product review or something along those lines for Guild Wars 2. As nice as that is for Guild Wars 2 there has been a lot of text put out by the community (even on the wiki alone) and I don't see the CMs actually around - I would point out that there's a community here to be managed in regards to Guild Wars. I don't use the forums, personally, but this is the first time in, well, ages I've seen Arenanet almost go silent in the way it has of late. So... what gives?
Not to be rude, but after what seems like a self mass pat on the backs with the Guild Wars team things have stopped.
Sorry, if that comes across as rude but this recent mass inactivity is troubling. 000.00.00.00 02:23, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
- Product Review? for a game not expected for 2 to 3 more years? WTF does that mean? --ilr 19:20, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
- Theirs no reason. Its just a simple fact that the wiki is the lowest on ArenaNets priority list. Most staff do read the page, but don't always reply. They don't hate us, there just to busy. Dominator Matrix 19:23, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
- It means the folks from Korea were visiting the Studio and they were reviewing the progress being made on GW2, checking timelines, etc. It's a pretty standard process. -- Wyn 19:25, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
- Next to that CM activity on GWW (here) is done in private time. It is not a Core Communication Site for Arenanet. Both Martin & Regina are active on other (Forum) sites and communication applications. I (personally) would like a Perma-CM visible in-game all the time playing and exploring the Player-Base-interest and informing every one on what is released to promote. But we can not DEMAND they give up there personal life and spare time to fill the requests of 6 million players. --Silverleaf Don't assume, Know! 13:57, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
- No worries, I did not take it as being rude. I have to admit that I am not active on the wiki as I probably should be - but it has also been a rather busy month for us in community, and we had to spread ourselves pretty thin across all the outlets we are working on. We do read, we just do not always have the time to post as well :(--Martin Kerstein (talk) 21:55, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
- I would have thought the Wiki would be a priority given it's Arenanet hosted. [shrugs] Also, Silverleaf: 6 million players? I somehow doubt that. 6 million products sold yes but product sells does not determine the number of players. 000.00.00.00 20:33, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

Contest
Hello. I would like to create a contest opened to a large majority of the players. In order to know if it's doable I posted some questions on Gaile's page( here ) who gently recomended me to get in touch with the community team. Do you think I should wait for Regina to come back and ask her these questions, or is there someone specific you would recommend me to get in touch with for this matter ?

Developer Updates and translating them

EU GW website game updates in German
Hi Martin,
While browsing the EU GW website, looking at the "Game Updates" which can be accessed directly from the mainpage (see http://eu.guildwars.com/ on the left hand side column), I found that the April 9th update is in German: http://eu.guildwars.com/support/article/update_09_july_2009/
Just thought you should know.
Have fun in Cologne ;). Fril
- Doh - that happens when I update all the languages at the same time, thanks for pointing this out :) --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Martin Kerstein (talk).
Report-Funktion
Nabend Martin. --Maria Murtor 18:05, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
