Standard armor cost tables[edit]
- NOTE: The discussion for this started on Wyn's talk page. She will probably archive it at some point, so it may take some hunting to find the section. mtew 15:09, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Ok, so we don't ping Wyn's page too much. I think you need to either have spacing or a thicker line between each armor type (between Ascalon and Canthan, between Canthan and Charr Hide, etc). And to increase the readability you may need to increase the width. I think you're just jamming too much info there to get good fit. --JonTheMon 19:36, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- OK. I increased the width of the border between types. The table is too wide as it is. As I mentioned on Wyn's page, I was thinking of removing the counts completely and leaving the details to the individual armor pages. Actually I've done that, but it can be 'undone'. mtew 22:17, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- Prestige chart looks great. Maybe since all the "pieces" entries are all "yes" except for 1, you can get rid of those columns and just footnote the 1 exception. otherwise it's very confusing to look through all the data just to realize that there's only 1 exception. I'm still confused as to how to use the other tables. Luke1138 17:40, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
- The entries on that row are links and the name column entry is not. All the other entries are the other way around. The Deldrimor pieces are definitely odd ducks. Maybe a bit more emphasis on the links... Oh, and thank you Wyn for fixing the typo. mtew 19:45, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Sell Prices[edit]
I really don't think the sell price is a worthwile investment of time. I doubt most people sell their armor once they're done with it, and most just dispose of it however (and chances are, the materials salvaged are worth more than the sell price). And if you were keeping track of prices, you'd probably also need to keep track of salvage rates too. --JonTheMon 16:58, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
- I mostly agree about sell prices. You might have a point about salvage, but the sell prices can be checked without destroying the armor, which is not true for salvage. Those tables are very incomplete and I don't expect them to go anywhere any time soon. However they are the reason for the cost tables; the cost tables tell me where the holes in the sell tables are. mtew 17:41, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
A couple of suggestions[edit]
It would be helpful if you could give readers a couple of sortability options, primarily alpha by name, and alpha by campaign. -- Wyn 11:33, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
- Good Idea. I tried it on all columns of all tables and some of it messed up. It is a bad idea on sparse tables. It did not work well on the 'Total cost' column; at best you could call the results 'interesting'. mtew 14:41, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
- I tried a couple more alternatives. Sorting really doesn't like sparse entries. Putting the cost before the sparse stuff produced better results. Then it was only a matter of inserting spaces in the right place to make the order come out right. Live and learn. mtew 15:33, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
- That's why I suggested it only on the Name and Campaign columns. -- Wyn 15:36, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
- Poke got it mostly working in his version, so I tried harder and got it working completely. mtew 15:42, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
