Secondary Attributes[edit]
Don't you think it's OP to give secondary attributes instant advantages by only increasing their rank? That's normally only included in PAs for a reason :P —ZerphaThe Improver 12:08, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- Those are very minor advantages. The bonuses from viral and corruption are not very important, but the speed boost from chaos is. -- NUKLEAR IIV 12:32, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's the most important thing. 4% is seemingly not much, but it could be used by any profession that e.g. only skilled two attributes. —ZerphaThe Improver 12:45, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- 3 points is a lot. 4% movement is not. That simple. I want defilers to be very mcuh able to kite. -- NUKLEAR IIV 12:57, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- Why, yes, I did pull the skills out of my ass. -- NUKLEAR IIV 13:38, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- *Cough*Flagger*Cough* Will of the Corrupter for when not running to spam Heal Party. And you can just end it with another stance. And Will of the Viral is weak - I would change it to "You have +10 health regeneration, and gain 20 health per second." +20 regen is meh. ~~ frvwfr2 (talk · contributions) 14:47, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

takes more than 30s to run the flag. and it has no exhaustion or other penalties. -- frvwfr2 (talk · contributions) 04:45, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, but when you cancel it, you can't get it back up right away, so EProd gives more energy over all. -- NUKLEAR IIV 12:46, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Nope[edit]
I believe this is 'create' a class, not 'mix' two classes. --Lustre Of Havoc 02:48, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- Exactly. So, what am I doing wrong, again? This is not done yeet. -- NUKLEAR IIV 11:24, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- There's no such thing as create a class. In guild wars, there are really only 5 professions: Physical offense, caster offense, defense, offensive support, and defensive support. Anything people try to make falls under one or two (or in the case of paragons, 3) of those. ~Shard 06:36, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
- By support you mean utility a la blindbot, etc? -- Armond Warblade 17:35, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
- By support I mean anything that does something other than damage/healing, so yes, blindbots are support. ~Shard 21:38, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Still making skills...[edit]
This is about 15% done. I still gotta do artwork and what not, but some feedback on the skills would be appreciated. I know, there are broken shit... -- NUKLEAR IIV 17:28, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
- I like this guy. He's such a juggernaut. Um, the Corruption Mastery skills; are they wards? I like Supremacy's End although it should be nearby being so expensive, maintainable and visibly avoidable. In fact, I think most of them should be nearby because they're more utilities rather than instant win skills, you know what I mean? Taste of Corruption is underpowered. Either make it 5 energy or raise the max health. Lifebane Virus is OP, Deathbane is UP especially for an elite; unless u use it on an adjacent foe to infect yourself with no attribute points. All the others are pretty interesting. More offensive wards!! -- Spawn Legacy 10:42, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- Deathbane is gud becuz it's a (theoretically) party-wide DW. I dunno, I'm still working on it. I'm going to get all the skills down pat, and then theorycraft, and then rebalance. -- NUKLEAR IIV 10:45, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- seems kinda hard to balance tbh... also, how does maintaing a spell work..? is it like u stand still and the aoe is there as long as u stand still and maintain it? --Cursed Angel 12:17, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- Same as maintaing an enchantment. -- NUKLEAR IIV 12:21, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- right, and contagions works like disease? if so, most of them would be very op. --Cursed Angel 12:43, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- Exactly. But they can spread to your team, too. -- NUKLEAR IIV 13:32, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- Deathbane is 8% less health. 40hp off 500. heheh yeeh deep wound as hell considering something else in the line does that amount of damage every 2 seconds for 23(times 145%) seconds. No offense. I love it all but I'd suggest Lifebane up to 15 energy with maybe 300 health loss. It may be balanced then (Still OP since you can give ur team the head's up.) Deathbane could have a 'foe recieves 8% less health from healing' clause to make it more powerful but still have balance and synergy with the addition of deep wound. I like this competition. 'Nother idea for you and Angel; health exhaustion. call it something cooler but yeh. Max health reduction that rises over time. Could use that as your skill drawback instead of the sacrifice Nuke. -- Spawn Legacy 10:58, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Skills are all done-ish[edit]
Comments are appreciated. I know there may be a lot of broken shit, but... fuck it. -- NUKLEAR IIV 10:39, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
- Corrupting the page moar. -- NUKLEAR IIV 11:00, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
- umm...at 20 armor level you take DOUBLE damage....with 15 Will attribute, you would take 250% damage...O_O. Gotta say, i love some of the skills you made! like ruin, wtf hax you just put ruin on, hid, went afk for half an hour, went into enemy base and make dem all splode KAPLOOIE! Nice original idea, imo (the profession). NalanaTalk 14:07, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Input[edit]
At 20 base armor, these things are basically necros with 800 health taking double damage. I don't think you would ruin anything by upping them to 40 armor.
I like the way you made stances interact. They work how the dervish stances were supposed to work if they didn't have one hit kills already.
Is there any energy degen on maintaining skills? Can you only maintain one at a time?
Lesser Corrupt Air > Heroes' Ascent.
LOL you made an aoe deep wound spell but not as potent! Nice!
100 damage per second, but the person can't lose more than 90% of his life? Maybe lower it to 5%.
Thirst of the Utterly Corrupt - should be renamed Channeling. Increase the cost on it IMO.
"Weakling!" looks fun.
Defilers look like a lot of fun to play. Why didn't anet do a contest like this instead of putting rits and paragons in the game? ~Shard 03:30, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- Lowering spell damage is awesome. I'm suer only ele gimmicks will whine.
- I don't know about the wording, but Torment's end lowers you only to 90% of your max. So, it's like 10% of your health.
- Thirst may be a tad broken, but fun. The other broken one might be ruin. I'm still making tweaks in my head. -- NUKLEAR IIV 15:07, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
I'm revitalizing this[edit]

Judging[edit]
- I like it, and I like the lore you put into to it. However, because of the high health and the low energy regen, I was expecting to see some spells that cost 0 energy and only life loss. I like the general idea of this profession, but I can already see defilers getting AoE'ed to death and becomign useless. I like it, but it needs a bit of work. Score: 5 --Shadowphoenix 21:08, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
You have put some good thought into this, and I see the possibilities. I'm not sure I would personally enjoy this profession, but I can understand it's potential. Score: 8 -- Wyn 19:07, 30 September 2008 (UTC)- A very well thought through profession. It's only somewhat close to necromancers, but ok in general. Score: 8 - Y0_ich_halt 19:24, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- I would have liked it if you completed the new mechanics page, this class surely adds a lot of new things to the game. Of course, they'd all be balanced in time so you have to start somewhere. I really do like this. Score: 8 - Vanguard 16:50, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
