newbie stuff

The edit button is all you.. Discussion is like a forum, you just edit your response in. if you want to make an article you just type it in the search, and type create new page. then add all the little bits from a page that's similar. --Narcism 10:38, 13 February 2007 (PST) the button left to the last button above the edit box adds a timesignature. :)

so if a page doesn't exist I can just put in whatever? Obviously I'd try to keep it decent looking and informative, and I have seen the note about avoiding specific item pages but it'd be nice to get like the dye page in. And to know how to do that bit where words link to articles so where i said 'dye' there it's be a link. (Ok i just found an 'internal link' button let's see if that works.)

Just use [[dye]], which will result in dye (automatically creates an internal link). And aye, if a page doesn't exist you can just create it. The note that you see in the Main Page right now mostly refers to skills, creatures and locations, since the guidelines on how those are going to look like are still being discussed (so that all those pages have a standard uniform appearance). You can go ahead and add even those, of course, it's just likely that they will have to be done from scratch again once the guidelines are approved, so probably better to hold on a bit for those ones. Everything else should be fine. :)

Oh, and by the way, you can add the signature after your comment by using four tildes, ~~~~, or by clicking on the next to last button in the small toolbar. Cheers! --Dirigible 11:12, 13 February 2007 (PST)

Excellent! If someone hasn't beat me to it then I'll try to make that one tonight when I am able to run GW and get some images. Thanks much for the help all. One more thing... is there any way to have it automatically put the signature on talk pages? Add a colon : in front of each paragraph. This line has one colon. If you use two, it'll indent one level further, and so on. Lots of little things like that can be found here. --Dirigible 11:29, 13 February 2007 (PST)

Nah, it was after they were all done, they just hadn't gotten to taking the ropes down yet. I just helped move the tables back to where they belonged. So I guess I learned that those tables have some nice heavy bases! purple llama 06:50, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

Question

New to Wiki so many dumb questions I was looking at your wiki page and noticed that you have your character's names in nice little boxes, How do you do that? also, I noticed you where able to seperate your things into coloums, how do you do that and If you know how to make multiple taps in the wiki page could you tell me that too and I hate my dull signiture, how you make it more interesting? and lastly, how did you get chosen for the NPC name (congrats on that by the way) Thanks in advance to all who reply, and please, keep it simple, I work too much and get not alot of sleep anymore Ocren 05:02, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
