But it is generally the common courtesy to do so, and I'm pretty sure when I joined the wiki at least, it was stated to be basically a requirement. You can do whatever you'd wish with the category page (as a matter of a fact I was going to suggest doing so), as long as you leave the last line and don't change anything in the coding of the userbox aside from the information, nothing will be broken. Currently, it will categorize anything that you add the template code {{User Rit Challenge}} to, this is due to a line in the code for the userbox that categorizes it by default, the only way to get around categorizing it for a preview, for example in your said said sand box is to add the long code lines alone (which, you'll find I already did for you)
