- Oh, yes. I only play 1.0 though. 2.0 makes snake that much more gay (uTilt KO at 40 damage? No thanks). ~Shard 23:21, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
- Ya, I only play on that. Snake is so unfair in it *whimper* At least 5 auto-kill moves D:--/ u /nendingfear File:User Unendingfear Avatar.png 23:22, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
- Don't forget Snake's whole dash attack-mortar BS. 173.88.136.15 00:09, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
- Most characters can do that, snake's is only exceptional because his uSmash goes really, really high. The only thing gay about it is the initial hit (there's no way to hit him out of it, because his hitboxes are lolhueg). Ima get some pics of his hitboxes, because they're just stupid. Sometimes I think he has a cloaking device attached to retractable stilts. ~Shard 02:42, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
- This is what happens when Hideo Kojima begs you to put his character in the game. --Orry 15:28, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere where they stated they weren't going to put alot of balance in the game, but the real playstyle of the characters. So that kinda sucks though. InfestedHydralisk 16:29, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
- The "real playstyle" of Snake is to run around in the shadows and subdue enemies as quietly and efficiently as possible, often without killing them. So that isn't anything like what Snake does in Brawl where he just owns everyone. Playing like that in any Metal Gear game is a very easy way to get yourself killed. Vili 点 17:56, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, infested is correct. They admitted they weren't trying to make it a tournament-quality game, but they forgot that people are gonna make tournaments out of the game anyway. Snake isn't overpowered enough that choosing him makes you win right away - he does take a lot of time and effort to master - but he is the best character in terms of range, damage, knockback, and survivability when you know how to use him. They still could have done a better job balancing him. I mean, how terrible do you have to be to let this slip into the game? Did you know his up-tilt also goes through cliffs? Most of his other attacks also have retarded hitboxes. ~Shard 02:05, 11 March 2010 (UTC)

- I Totally agree with everything you said about brawl. I play my little brother on occasion, I beat him nearly every time. Then he decides to choose meta knight. I get raped.

No complaints about Zelda? I'm surprised. Teleporting combined with balls of doom is about as piss broken as you can get, if I were to take a stance. ··· Danny Pew Pew 09:17, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- Except that teleport is one of the worst recoveries in the game. Irritating to people who guard by actually hanging on ledges, but it's such a bitch to aim properly + leaves you way too vulnerable should you miss a ledge. It also kills all your drift so you fall nearly straight vertical. Moreover, I think any advantages from the Din's Fire of Doom are cancelled out by the fact that despite being a "tall" character, Zelda is pretty light and easy to knock around. Oh, and her ftilt and utilt take forever, though they are fairly powerful. Vili 点 17:19, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- Zelda's teleport is one of the worst recoveries in the game. If you land on the ground, or far enough from a ledge that you don't grab it instantly, it's instant death against anybody who knows what they're doing. Her balls of fire aren't that great, you just airdodge/shield them and get close to her. ~Shard 21:13, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- is the game all it's cracked up to be? I think some obscure family member bought me a wii for Christmas in 2008. for some reason people think I actually enjoy all these video games. if it's worth getting maybe I'll get a copy off tpb. –Jette 21:18, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- Only if you have other people to play with. It's pretty boring solo. No sex jokes please. ~Shard 21:23, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- My 10,000+ matches against CPU opponents refutes your claim. Vili 点 21:25, 3 April 2010 (UTC)

Smash Talk[edit]
Ok so, Snake is banned? I expected Meta Knight to be banned, or is he banned aswell? InfestedHydralisk 23:19, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
- Snake wasn't banned back when I played - and neither was MK to the chagrin of many. Now that was about 2-3 years ago, so things may have changed. I haven't kept up. -- Oiseau | 00:28, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- Neither are banned according to the standard ruleset. Every character except MetaKnight gets disqualified if they grab a ledge 50 times in a single match. MetaKnight gets disqualified if he does 20 ledge grabs.
- Most BBR players play S or A tier characters, so banning Snake and MK isn't an option for them, because then good players would win more often. A lot of people want to ban MK (including myself) because in the hands of a good player, he is literally unbeatable. People also want to ban Snake (I'd prefer modding it to weaken him) because below professional levels, a bad Snake player can beat a good non-Snake. ~Shard 22:05, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- I'm guessing MK is a bastard to kill for the same reason kirby used to be. The whole, jumping to stop knockbacks thing? --BriarThe Spider 22:17, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- I always hoped that MK would be banned, even though I knew it would never happen (look on SmashBoards at how much stronger the MK boards are than anyone else's). The one time I entered a tourney with Fiction, he (who was one of the best Warios in the world; even beat M2K's Meta so hard that he has to go D3 against him) got roundly beaten by a Meta spamming B-attacks, when Fiction was playing Squirtle, his secondary. One of the more disappointing memories of Brawl tournaments.
- As for Snake, I think a lot could be done by reducing the power of his tilts to be honest. -- Oiseau | 22:25, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- The thing about MK is he has an answer to everything, and all his attacks have the best priority (and speed) in the game, so even a mediocre MK can spam any attack he wants and, as long as he's facing the right direction, will always hit you through your attacks. ~Shard 12:29, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
- Laser priority actually. For some reason, that was intentional in his design. The lack of ending lag on his attacks is what most makes him broken though. Any other character making the wrong attack would be punished, but it's impossible to punish MK effectively, unless you're in just the right place yourself (even then, it's not enough most times). -- Oiseau | 16:50, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
